I dreamed of an island I could make home
But the sea rose and soon it was gone
So high on a mountain was next on the list
But crops wouldn't grow on snow covered cliffs
So I went to the hills and cut down the trees, made cabins where they stood and planted the fields.
All was ok, I thought this is the place!
Till the mudslide came and washed us away.
All that was left was to go to the plains, the breadbowl of life and to start off again.
Acre on acre we planted the crop, watered from wells drilled deep underground.
How happy we were and all seemed fine, till tornadoes came and moved house again!
So the sea goes up and the wind comes down. Floods and icebergs becoming the norm
Frackings poisoned the water and coal the air Japan glows in the dark so we cant go there
Nothing left but to find a new world and Elon Musks ahead of the game.
Mother earths being killed off by her own kids, as like parasites we ferociously nibble away.
She gave us the sun and the wind and the waves...
But once we realised
It was too late.

The darkness is consuming me cell by cell
As though it wants me to take my own life ever pushed to that edge by the feeling of emptiness and solitude
Invited by thoughts of peace and nothingness

Some people are in your life for a reason
Some people are the reason you live
Some are the reason you can live
Some are the only reason for living
Know who is there for what reason
Do not try to reason with or about the others
For their love, their lives and their reasoning is not your concern

You fall in love instantly
It just takes you time to realise

Imaginary words is all I have
For I can't speak when you're around
I rehearsed "Hello" and "How are you" a thousand times maybe more
Then into sight you come and the words are lost and can't reach my tongue
As though they ran and hid themselves so as not to make me look a fool and babble and stutter and drewel
Imaginary words are all I've had for decades now and no way out
There must be so many primed to go but they simply never flowed
For my words you could never hear as another whispered in your ear
Even when I thought he had gone and I foolishly spoke some of them
The words I had imagined I would speak long since died without a peep
I know now but didn't then that words can't be stored and used again
If I love you was to be said it has to be there and then
For I loved you once is not the same nor is shall we try again
For imagined words were never said
For she tasted honey in anothers bed

Five drinks later and loose of lip
She outlined her desires
I'd chuck my knickers at you!
But I'd have to ring them out first!!!

Shameless and longing she needed him now
But our victim saw love in her eyes

To the room for her craving
For him all he desired
An hour later, both were satisfied

She left him her number
But please only texts
She had tasted honey
And would want it again

Hair perfect, lips so red and full
Almost beckoning in her ignorance
She played her game
Holding court, the queen bee
She knew her craft and what to be

Every glance counter played
With ethereal invites of contempt
One would try but who?
One was all she craved

He sat and followed her every move
The curve of her dress as she stood
Just enough reveal to draw his eyes
To the skin above her stocking top
Just visible in the dim light

She re crossed her legs once more
Make no mistake it was a rallying cry
A call to arms and he was hooked
With the vision of her thighs

He ventured over ready to engage
Before he could say a single word she spoke
" ***** martini, no ice"
Make it quick as you're mine tonight
