South-by-Southwest
The sea beneath
the sea within
the hollow feelings
from there to then

As the thought breaks
parts the clouds
As the light comes
within allowed

I touch your lips
you gentle thing
you touch my heart
oh hear it sing

The sun beneath
as far as be
the sea within
sets sails on wing

There go no
red day dawnings
there are no
red flag warnings

Only reflections on the iris
of the eye
only purest warmth
over oceans glide

Spin a web...
a little tale...
with the
unwavering voice that
tells of limitless grandeur.

Weave the
finest threads of imagination,
laced with infinite magic...
into a spectacle...
of spellbinding tapestry.

Cast your palette,
unto canvas...
brush with the strokes of
your heart's shackled candour.

String your words
into phrases,
into sentences
that turn into beguiling jewels
that we...
only we...

see as poetry.

There once was a strange land
Long long ago
If was made by a girl
A child full of woe

Winds always howl
And the sky is always green
Grass is never cut
And the stars are always seen

She made this world
A home in her mind
But the only beings there
Are the forgotten kind

The dreams of a little girl
Who loathed the real world
Her parents were never there
So she made beings who were always fair

She played with these folk
In the meadows of her mind
She made these people just
She made them so kind

But then she got older
And saw the hate of the world
The beings in her mind
Mirrored this unfold

Their desires grew darker
Their motives were skewed
They criticized the girl
Only negatives they spewed

How she isnt pretty
How she was a mistake
They used to give love
But now they only take

The girl became calloused
From the voices in her mind
The voices that spread hate
That used to be so kind

I am the girl
The girl of strange kind
The voices are in my head
They are many, you will find

I miss that world
Of green sky and strong wind
The world of my making
A world without sin

But I know this is a lie
For sin is everywhere
In the mind of a child
In the words of a prayer

So I pray now
God bring me back there
To the word of green sky
To where everything was fair

Lying is
tedious
and
difficult,
which
is why
I prefer
to  invent
the truth.

Depression is like an ocean of demons, you have to learn to swim or they will catch you.
it's a battle against your own mind, no matter how hard you try they will come back to haunt you.
It's sleepless nights, tiresome day. Feeling numb, emotions go wild, but you always paint on a smile.
It's pretending everything is ok when really you're trapped in a hell you wish you could escape.

Depression is a cut so deep, you cover it up because you don't want people to see. Everytime you look at it you feel ashamed and weak.
Depression is being in a room full of people and still feeling so alone. It's feeling frustrated with yourself because you wish that for just one second your brain could switch off, it's wishing you could feel true happiness but it's been so long you don't even know what tru happiness is anymore.
What is depression?  it's an ocean of demons, if you don't swim you'll drown.

Give me a minute
To read the stars
Lamenting in their stories
Their laboured twinkling far and sparse

Give me this moment
To stumble and swoon
My branches reaching for
The faraway moon

Give me a while
To be one with the universe
Hear the colliding planets
As they spill their mournful verse

Give me some time
To plot my rightful place
Within my uncharted galaxy
And collapsing space...
