an untoward event
born a thought dominant
caused the feelings consequent
provoked the emotions remnant
unexpressed, set in a trench dormant
wrapped in the dark, was the content
drenched with the tears vehement
with passing time it got ferment
spread an unwanted scent
toxify the environment
an untoward event
An event may transform a person....

Life originates in pleasure
Begins in pain,
For some ends in treasure
For some ends in vain.

I like to unleash
a smile on occasion
Feels good
Sunrise, sweet nectar,
I like to unleash
a smile on occasion
Feels a good
I’m smiling at you
As I write
Hope it generates a smile
and as dominoes fall
The world can just for a short lived moment
Unleash its own smile

maps are for lost
fools, going in predictable
directions, too afraid
of the unknown.
they'll never step off
the concrete, never feel
the rub of untouched
brush against their skin
or the adrenaline of
where the **** am I?
they play by the rules,
in lust with their cookie
cutter by the book lives.

maps. charted journeys.
these things don't interest me.
i want scrapes up and
down my arms and legs
because i dared venture too
deep. i want bruises and
bleeding because i got lost,
too lost. i want to get lost.
i want to lose the map.
i want to lose my little
here dot, the one that
follows me, red and angry
because i don't stay on the
path to that cookie cutter
life.

i want off this route. this
one that leads only to
                                  y o u.

After years of aimless wanderings
Leaving behind the cities of midnight revels
And the fevered journey in metro rails,
I am back at the land of my people.

Wherever I went,
Under which ever roof I slept,
I had carried my land,
As a jewel in a casket
And ensured it rested safe
Ever under my pillow

As I moved with aliens
Unable to merge with their cultural mores,
I saw my land glimmer in darkness
Like a dew drop on a moon blanched leaf

When I sweated in the blistering sands
A patch of green landscape, like an oasis
Wafted me in a cool embrace
Then dreams poured in like star light
And I wandered in the meadows of my youthful love
My heart struggling to forget old longings
And memories lashing upon me like tidal waves

Pursued by that inalienable shadow
Suddenly being born in flesh and blood
I hastened to the streets of my youth
With hopes galore and plans vivid

But alas! There is none to recognize me
Oh! I am a stranger here
An unwelcome stranger among total strangers
Now I wonder which is truly my land?
The one left behind or the one just landed in?

Oscillating between these two worlds,
My fractured identity looms large
With worms of memories wriggling in my flesh
And a myth suddenly dying in my brain
I am glad to share with my friends here that this poem- My Fractured Identity- is prescribed for the 10th Grade students-English for Junior High School- entitled Voyagers, in the country of Philippines. The exciting thing is that my poem appears among the writings of eminent men like James Joyce, Rudyard Kipling, Shelley, Virginia Woolf, Jules Verne, Jean Jacques Rousseau and the like. I feel it a great honor !!

I’ve lit the match
My mind is burning
My arms are yearning
My thoughts are turning
Into things I can’t catch.

I can’t stop the fire
The walls are aflame
I should carry the shame
Only I am to blame
For the red reaching higher.

I’m starting to choke
My mind is too brash
My thoughts turn to ash
My body will crash
I can’t see through the smoke.

I’m only dramatic
There is no fire
The situation isn’t dire
I’ve just tripped over the wire
Pacing through my mind’s attic.
Loco porque yo lo coloco
y ella lo quita y lo coloca
con cola loca en
otro loquito lugar

Loco lo quito y otra vez
loquito vuelvo y lo coloco
como un bobo loco
bien dónde debe estar
Y la loquita loca
lo quita de su local
Y lo coloca en otro lugar

El colmo del caso
es que si seguimos acaso
dando este paso
nunca lo cazo en
casa local al loco
loco loquito locazo.

Así que deme otro vaso
Qué si la loca
lo quiere al loco de paso
lo buzco al triple locazo
y lo juro que
yo me lo cazco.

Lying embedded in velvet gloom and night,
You and I are gazing up the northern hemisphere.
Within the sea of darkness is the stars' stained light.

Hidden inside the fabric of interstellar space,
Might be a kind of universal truth
That answers all the questions of human race.

Sensing the pull of the universe
I feel like we're lost between the infinite vastness
That none of us could ever dream to traverse.

Suddenly you get up on your knees -
Head in the sky and feet on the ground.
“Perhaps the stars only made us feel lost,
because we both wanted to be found.”
Maybe we all are just waiting to be found:)
