And so I slipped into the mirror;
finally after years of staring, I saw the ripple.

I crossed over into fantasy, a paradise, my personal wonderland.
I wonder where I'll land.

And down I go into the unknown,
Red string theories, space and time; time and space.
Running on the endless slipstream
And so I open my eyes and overcome the race.

I opened my eyes and to my surprise I stood before the garden;
I opened my eyes and to my surprise I stood before the Queen.
I opened my eyes and to my surprise; I was falling again.

Free fall into my dream,
Dance with me and by my queen;
This is my reality, grab my hand and walk through the mirror with me.

She is just an arsonist
Setting hearts on fire
Strike a match to her latest catch
Ash deep in desire

She is just an arsonist
Fanning hot the flames
Adding twigs in the shape of men
Burning each of them

She is just an arsonist
Destruction in her wake
Trial by fire burns hotter
If you're caught up in her blaze

I wish I were made of stone
So your words would never hurt me
I wish I were cold as ice
Then maybe I wouldn't be lonely

I wish I were made of steel
So my strength would never waver
If only I could turn back the clock
To a time when I felt safer

But I'm only flesh and bone
And your words have left me bleeding
My heart is torn apart
It's a wonder it's still beating

You made up your mind
Given me your final answer
What we shared is in the past
Time to write a brand new chapter

I will fix my broken heart
Some how piece it back together
It may never be the same
It'll bare this scar forever

But I'll be strong, I'll be alright
Though I'm not as hard as steel
And I can't turn back the clock
In time....my heart will heal

shades and shadows all around
watching when the Sun goes down
all the darkness of the night
leads us to  an inner light
                       understanding     who we are
            written out      between the stars
in the lines     upon our hands
reading patterns in the sand
in the crystal            in the yarrow
in the tea leaves             in the Tarot
answers in the            form of riddles
      something missing            in the middle
                         priestesses            and necromancers
     asking oracles            for answers
we believe            we see a spark
but we are shining in the dark

Given
that some words
are forgotten
or hidden
in some corner
of past time
while others skirt
around the periphery
of the mind
to be resurrected
by memory
revoked
independent of the self's volition-
words verily
have their own DNA code
a life of their own

but
there are words
that live on
and never die

imprinted
in the hardware
of the heart
stamped into
the circuit
of the mind

only you alone
could find
those words within
that have shaped
your thoughts
and made you
what you are

upon the last hour
when all other words fail
these will remain
to stand by your side
speak on your behalf
to defend and clarify
never for a moment
in doubt of your integrity
proud to be your endless ally.

Everything in my life
Falling apart
And
Simultaneously
everything in my life
pulling itself together
The truth is
life breaks everyone
life breaks everything
Nevertheless
I choose positive thoughts
I choose adaptability
I choose compassion
I choose gratitude
I choose love
I choose humility
I choose courage
I choose to keep moving forward
I choose to create a beautiful life
within the ugliness of it all
I choose to reach inside myself
and ignite a fire that will burn
forevermore
And at the end of it all
I know I will emerge victorious
within those broken places
