I will forget you
and be happy.
Or—at least—
I wish
I could forget you
and be happy.

If only
you were
forgettable,
instead of
staining my
head
and my heart

with the
cold
impressions
of you.

Proud to be with you
...
i knew the wind blew too strong
in your direction, that it took and kept
taking from you, i did not want to pry

i knew the worst boiled different
from the last and this one bent
your vision, and blew out your lamp

in you i knew, there was a soft hand
i tried to remember this after each reproach
that there was that friend, that man

i loved somewhere in the midst of that night
i knew i couldn't do it right, but i tried
Tether me with flowers
bring me sunshine everyday !
Do not ruffle up my feathers
when I'm doing it my way !
Fasten smiles upon me say,
"Go ahead, do it your way !"
writing a poem on the bus
and the elderly woman sitting next to me
says oh, is it about us
the voices in the leaves said
let us rest

we are weary
our bones are brittle

our skin fragile
let us gather here

for just a moment
to catch our breath

before the wind wakes
and casts us along

scratching
patternless

and disintegrating
When iam alone
I let myself believe
Just for a moment
That he misses me too
That maybe he thinks of me
When the sky turns soft
And the world slows down.

Bt it's not real
It's just me
Doing all the loving
In my thoughts.
I am a Christian, what is wrong with that?
You make me look like some kind of rat
Why are you so hateful?
This time that I take to convince you isn't wasteful

I love Jesus, I love God
But some people think this is odd
I don't know why they act like this is new
When everything I preach is actually true

"Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak but He is strong"
watched an old bloke on the train
struggle to open a packet
of sandwiches and offered him a hand
which he gratefully ate
