Though my hands falter, and memory fades, though silence mocks what time once praised— still I press on, a nameless mason, laying truths I carved from shame.

I raise no banner, claim no throne, but whisper into winds unknown: “If not for glory, then for grace, that one may rise from this same place.”

Let ashes speak where tongues fall still, and let these stones outlast my will. For in the dusk of spent desire, a single spark can birth a fire.

So let these hands, though bruised and worn, etch quiet hope in break of morn. Not for acclaim, nor out of pride, but so one day, someone might find—

among the ashes, amid the dust, a trace of love, a seed of trust. That though I faltered, I still gave, and from these ruins, left something brave.
They asked, “Who broke your heart?”  I smiled,
As if the wound had healed a while.
But silence pressed behind my teeth,
A name I buried underneath.

Not one, I said   but many things:
The way she left, the way hope clings,
The way a laugh turns into mist,
The way you ache for lips you kissed.

It wasn't just her voice gone still,
But how the world grew cold and shrill.
It was the songs that made me cry,
The empty space when love says goodbye.

They asked again  “Was it her name?”
And still, I couldn’t place the blame.
A heart breaks slow, then all at once
Not just by loss, but lack, and months.

So who? I whispered to the night.
“I broke it too  by holding tight.”

Rings of Headrick
Stabilize the flight
Of a broken equal

In zero atmosphere
I record you remembering to smile
Pixel pleasure
Whether or not
In zip ties

Cloud on the brow
Rain in the ashtray
Storms we all breathe in heavily

An end to camaraderie
By critical distance
By counting back from ten

Zero is an even number
When discord is no longer odd
The wasteland looks like eden
After a long and tortured road.
We were promised no such land
Nor any home that we are owed.
Still we took that beaten path
Knowing well where it may go.

By the gods what fools we be!
Seeing neither haunted forests
Or the weeping, dying trees.
We saw instead clear flowing streams
Ignored the way they slithered,
Withered valley and the rose.
Or how the heart can carve a lily
Into a candle in the snow.
Alcyone, my heart is yours alone,
Though waves may pull me, tearing love from shore.
Beneath the storm, the sea may drag my body,
Yet love defies the tide, it fights once more.

Fate’s hand may tear my flesh from bone,
Yet still, my soul resists death’s sweep.
I will not cross where silence makes its home,
Not yet, my love. I vowed—and vows I keep.

You pull my body, drag me toward the black,
Yet love remains, though flesh may fall away.
I beg no mercy, ask no solemn pact,
For I am hers, I am bound to stay.
The tide may take, the wind may plead,
But I will not depart—Alcyone, heed.

Not yet. Not yet. Death calls, but I won’t go.
The sea may tear, but I am not undone.
A shadow lingers—whispered hands pull slow,
Yet love remains. I stay. My heart is one.

Alcyone, I call—do you still hear?
The tide may claim my breath, but not my name.
Not yet. Not yet. My vow will not disappear.
I swore, and I swear still. I’ll remain.

Alcyone. Alcyone. Alcyone.
I speak your name, though water fills my throat.
The tide may take, I hear death’s calls—
I will not go. I will not go.

Alcyone. Alcyone. Alcyone.
I swore, I swear, I will not fade.
If time dissolves, if fate decrees—
Still, my soul remains. Still, my soul remains.
A second voice carried upon 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑊𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑊𝑎𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔—yet echoes deceive the ear.

When your voice
Escaped the clutches of the night
I held on tight
In vain

Your eyes that hid under the curls
They've become traces of you

To a girl I once knew
You're only a memory away
I couldn't walk
Another step today
So I wrote this
Line by line
It gave me the strength
That I once lacked
It made me feel like
I had a voice

This mind
This body
This soul
And ah...
I forget that there's a heart
I lay here
Staring at the stars
As I wave goodbye

Since you left me here
Wondering why

Somewhere in your soul
I saw where the ocean
Reflects the sky

As well as the beauty
Of the earth
In your eyes

But I don’t
Have to lay here
Wondering why

I can just enjoy
The comets
Passing by

I’d like to believe
I’ve seen the world
At its best

In the flickers
Of love
Despite
The distress
Found this in a collection of notes.
Your first taste
made the aftertaste
bittersweet.
On your hands,
the gleam of a silver tray.
On your lips,
red thread,
tied to my lips.
Promises exchanged in dark corners,
your shadow consoling mine.
Grey fields bloomed in colors bold.
In time, the thread grew taut,
cut by the blade in your hand.
A love once cherished,
now perished in fading colors.
Only a lingering taste remains.
Bittersweet.
