(A Short Story)



         One night I had this dream. I was walking along a trail in a forest. I was so afraid. I called for help...and then somebody came. It's you. You walked with me in my journey. I was so happy that somebody was  walking beside me. I knew I won't be alone. Not anymore...

        But the trail was becoming so dangerous. I was wounded, and so were you. We continued to walk...and walk. Until I finally saw you running away from me.

       "Wait!" I shouted while trying to follow you.
        "I don't know you. I have my own journey. I'm sorry," you shouted back.

        What shall I do? I tried to follow you but you were already out of my sight. I waited for an hour...which turned into day. It's becoming darker and I feel more scared. Shall I wait for more hours... or days? I give up! I won't wait any longer. You left me with no choice but to walk on my own. I have to be stronger. I have to reach the end of the trail.

      So I walked alone for it was the only choice.

The music plays softly
Into my ear
A lullaby of heart
I always want to hear

The music plays
While my tears fall
As the lines
Hit me so strong

I cry
For the unsung melodies
I cry because
There will never be
You and me.

It's not your big body that I ached to see
but the company that you bring to me

It cannot be the lust that most human feel
but a deeper longing that only you could heal

It's not about your face that I want to kiss
but your eyes that see my soul that I really miss

It's not about your arms as my pillows at night
but the comfort you bring when you're visible at my sight

It's not only your hug that I really long
but the half of my heart where these emotions belong

It's not only the word that I want to hear
but the warmth of your touch so I'll never fear

It's not anything physical and material, my man
but something rooted from heart, something spiritual

It's not anything that this world can give
but it is your love, only with you I want to live!

I held your hand, numb and cold
The warmth was gone
That tight grasp to my palm
Is now but a shy touch

I looked in your eyes
The emotion is different
From that warm look before
It's now but a distant glance

I heard your song
Just like a mourning chant

With that cold touch
And indifferent look
You're different, so different today
And I fear that tomorrow
There will be nothing to hold on...

And so I looked at the sands of time
I saw every bit of sand falling down

Every bit that fell was my every tear
Each moment in time that you’re not here

Our time was short and I can’t resist
To plea and beg, let me feel the bliss

I hoped for the nights that I closed my eyes
Because in my dreams I can see you smile

I wear my mask within each day
Showing my smile though you’re gone away

Oh, our time, this time isn’t ours for real
Wishing forever will I stand still?

Yes,  I am your "baby girl", but I will say these all to you:
If you are old enough and there's nothing that you can do,
Call yourself an "old man",  that 's a big,  big NO
You are the one that I need,  I am an old soul,  too!

This is me-

So whatever happens,  whatever arrives

Opening your doors to chances and not building walls...

And if we meet shall we renew
Our love that’s sweet like morning dew

And if we meet with love so pure
I’ll never go, my love, for sure

Two hearts aflame with deeper love
A love so pure, as white as dove

And if true love should find us here
Hold me so close, don’t leave me, dear.

For we could dance with hearts entwined
We sing our song as love’s our bind.

And if these things won’t be the same
Just like that of a precious dream

And if my love our time is through
I’ll set you free, I’ll let you go.

When it rains,  it pours*, I know
But now I have this drought again
Where are my words,  where is my muse?
I thought it will forever rain

I know I need an inspiration
I think I badly need you here
My muse,  please be with me again
And fix this block with your love,  my dear.

My love is like the weather
with ever changing mood
Sometimes he is so funny
sometimes he's feeling good

Sometimes he is sensitive
like who I am today
Sometimes he waits for me
sometimes he cannot stay

But whoever he is
and whatever he feel
I know he truly loves me
I know that it is real

I accept him wholeheartedly
because my love is true
For true love always understands
I love him, yes I do!

There's this light in me
I felt it's beam and rays
I let it scattered through
The darkness of this place
With hopes and dreams that black
Could turn into pure white
Like storm and thunder that
Can be quiet for a while
They say that flicker of light
Could be that burning flame
When wind blows into it
The fire won't be the same
I want to keep this light
This fire within my heart
And only you could help me
To keep this flame alive
You gave your words of promise
A pledge I won't forget
But there inside my room
That fear is on my sheet
And somehow the light could turn
Back into flicker, so sad
The spark will end into ashes
When good change into bad

He told me,

I told him,

For you did not change
Even a little since
You showered your light
Upon me

For that,  I no longer walk
In the dark."

You came like a breeze
Surprising
Exciting
Uncontrollable
And I was amazed
By your touch
So comforting
Caring
Loving

I surrendered to you
Undressed myself
Then embraced you

At first it was warm
The kiss
The hug
The touch

Then suddenly
You became cold
Freezing as ice
That almost everything in me
Became numb

And as I close my eyes
I feel you leaving
Like the wind
You just passed by

So I opened my chest
And take my heart
While you are moving away

I tossed it to you
Hoping that you will feel
How I want you to take care of it

But you just looked at it
With a cold stare
And continued leaving

I tossed my heart at the wind
Now it is broken
And I don't know
When it will be healed.

I hear your song echo in the midst of the  night
With my bare feet, I walk in the dark
Just to see you, the voice that I hear
Never care of the risks I have to bear.


Your voice guides me where I should go
The echoes are the trails and now I can see you
You tell me some stories which makes me ponder
I laugh at every humorous word while we chatter.


Who shall forget you as my caring guide?
You lead me into my world, now I don’t have to hide
For I am now complete, an artist of my kind
Your song pushes me up to take pleasure of my mind.

I saw her holding such beauty-
That butterfly with colorful wings
But suddenly she opened her hands
And let it fly away

I was so sad
How can she take it-
Letting go of something she loves?

I looked at her with these sad eyes
And she looked at me in return
Then smiled

She said:
"Your eyes, I know can see
Only the things outside each shell.
I know I have done what's right, my dear
When I love something, I'll set it free
If it comes back, it's really mine."

I was amazed with the words that she said
I turned my back and let my tears flow
For I don't want my reflection to see
What she really feels...
