Song For Me
Dhaye Margaux Aug 2016
I
It's been a while I didn't write me a song
For all those chances,  I have written just for you
This is just fair,  being fair to myself
That for once I sing a song for me

II
I've learned to see and feel my pain
That once were hidden or I was blind to see
It was not fair,  been unfair to myself
I've sang more songs,  but nothing was for me

~~
Oh,  I've been waiting for this moment
That I see myself in the mirror
Standing tall,  smiling alone
Full of hope and love for myself
Let me love myself,  let me be free
For once I need to be alone
Let me see the beauty of freedom
Let me sing this song for me

III
Tonight is the night I'll sleep with peace
No heartache,  no pain within me
For I let them go, those tears and fears inside
So I can sing this song for me

~~
Oh,  I've been waiting for this moment
That I see myself in the mirror
Standing tall,  smiling alone
Full of hope and love for myself
Let me love myself,  let me be free
For once I need to be alone
Let me see the beauty of freedom
Let me sing this song for me
No tune for now but hope I can do it on the next weekends...

THE BIND
Dhaye Margaux May 2014
Wearing the gown you have chosen for me
I walked through the aisle with this pink bouquet
A smile painted in me with sparks of  love
Now I'm going to forget yesterday

You welcomed me with your arms open wide
You held my hand and let me wear the ring
We gave our vow then the kiss, as a seal
We heard our heartbeats like the songs we sing

The people's joy and the greetings they gave
As endless as the love that you recite
We entered our room to complete our bind
To wait for another dream for a night.

The Artist
Dhaye Margaux May 2016
My skin  is now ready for your eyes
Not for a stranger in the night
I know you are waiting for a rhyme
Like a rainbow that's out of sight

I painted birds and  chickens on canvass
I know you'll remember this day
Spend time calculating the hues
To create a piece all the way

You may fall short of  time and chance
Sometimes you may pause and then hurry
But that's how we  create like we explode
Be obedient if you don't want to feel sorry.

-----

She's an artist. She paints.  She write songs,  poems and stories.  Even a stranger  could prove that. Her skin tattoos speak so well.  You can see flowers and animals on her arms,  neck and shoulder.  So funny that even chickens can be seen once you closely look at those marks.

As a poet,  she mostly observe rhyme and meter.  She would always spend time calculating the syllables in a line.  She always remember her mentor's teachings even when writing short pieces. There was no moment that she's not obedient of the rules she had learned from him. She won't forget that anything should not be done in a hurry.

She is an artist,  and her  creativity is like an emotion that is going to explode once properly set.

Best Friends
Dhaye Margaux Sep 2019
I have been waiting
For someone to understand
My pain, my flaws
My weird and wild sides

I have been searching
For somebody to fill
The gaps, the empty spaces
The longings of my heart

I have been asking
For a friend in this lifetime
My company, my comrade
The one who will be like me

Like me, yes same as me
The light, an angel
And now we feel the same
Now and forever we are
We have the same eyes, same heart, same wings...

Mother's Arms
Dhaye Margaux Mar 2016
Close your eyes, do not look
The world is just a dangerous room
Learn not to hear, don't use your ears
Be numb with those wicked tongues that bloom

Hug me tight, do not move
I'll keep you free from any harm
For I could give you what you need
You are safe here in your mother's arms
I love you so much, my little angel

FIRST TIME
Dhaye Margaux Apr 2015
I am always afraid on my first times
Just like when I first stepped into your place
When I first looked into your eyes
When I first gazed into your face

I told you I am afraid on my first times
Just like when you first kissed my lips
I saw a thousands of butterflies
When you first put your hands into my hips

I still have many fears for some first times
Some things I would do someday
First place, first act, and first impression
You said in those times you're here to stay.
I should not be afraid.

I Write
Dhaye Margaux Sep 2014
I  write because I want to shout

And yet I cannot speak

I want to tell some things in me

But I feel I am weak

I write because I want to open

To make all things so clear

I do not know if one will find

The same sounds that I hear

I write because I want to share

The gift that now I keep

To some it maybe ordinary

But  to others it  could be steep

I want to write, I want to shout

I want to open and share

I want to reveal, I want to help

To show that I love and care…
Just a writing exercise...

One Life
Dhaye Margaux Dec 2014
A life to live, a smile to make
A beauty I have to share
A simple word for someone's sake
Though life seems so unfair

A morning call, a short "hello"
A tap on somebody's back
A simple "yes", instead of "no"
Could be somebody's luck

A simple touch, a goodnight kiss
Could warm a frozen world
A soulful hug, I'll always miss
Surely when I get old

But once this life that I shall pass
Brings me to a peaceful place
I'll face the day, not how it was
But a life that's full of grace.

I Cried
Dhaye Margaux May 2015
I cried for my saddest days
When you were just a dream
My heart was broken in pieces
And I almost wanted to scream

I cried for my lonely days
When you gave me a look
But never stopped walking alone
While I was left on that nook

I cried for my aching days
When you stopped for a while
I thought I could walk with you
And it would end on an aisle

I cried for my painful nights
When you're not by my side
I'm aching more and more
And that I cannot hide

But...

You started looking at me
You saw and gazed at my light
You said you're loving me
And you can be my knight

I cried for my happy nights
I cried for my happy days
I cried with tears of joy
Oh, love, I am amazed!
Be grateful of the people who love you.

Poets In Love
Dhaye Margaux Jun 2015
I am but a small child watching
Men and women, here and there
In every corner there's a heart, caring
I can hear love songs everywhere

Two people from different ends, dating
Words in real world, unspoken
Here in white canvass they're painting
All is fair in love, sides are even

I am wondering what is this love
What is the miracle that it creates?
Why two people could meet up above
Why are they call themselves as soulmates?

I am but a small child watching
I even wonder what love will do to me
When I grow up, could I be that caring?
When I fall in love, what kind of woman could I be?
love is everywhere :)

No Wrong
Dhaye Margaux Jun 2014
Oh man, tell me...
Is there wrong in loving?
Is there sin in believing?
I have been searching for the half of my soul
I've crossed the hanging bridges with fear
I've walked a thousand miles with tears
Don't I deserve even a smile,
         a kiss, a hug or just a simple touch?
I have done everything because of love but I know there's no wrong in it.

This Life
Dhaye Margaux Mar 2016
This life is a recondite transit
Where our paths might be unknown
We would stop  at varied crossroads
When confused at those strange zones

The sky each day may differ
There could be sun,  there could be rain
It could be blue or could be orange
But on the next pace,  it could be grey

And if ever the times get harsh
That we might stumble and fall
Just remember we're not alone
In going through tight bouts at all

Life is a creek of promises
Springing from heavens above
The rain of life will flow on us
We should welcome the gift of love

But like a battlefield we know
What we purport is to survive
In this platform of test and ventures
After each fall,  we must revive

Life is survival of the fittest
The world is a precarious place
Don't be that weak who cannot soar
Be like an eagle, conquer the space.

My love, the day you came into my life
Was when I hate to feel the rain so much
Each drop to me was like a sharpened knife
That made deep cuts and wounds I couldn’t touch
But there you came along to mend the strife
When I was falling down you’re there to catch
You guided me and helped me ease the pain
My dear, you taught me how to love the rain.

(To my other half  who calls me his Light)

Let me  shower you with rays
Of the sunshine on my face
Then we will both sing and dance
Let us not waste time but enjoy this chance

Forget the past and look at me
There is sunshine, can't you see?
My smile's the one that keeps your day
The one full of joy while gloom's fleeting away

I am your light, I am your love
My love for you is as white as dove
Together we will face a brand new day
With this love in our hearts that will forever stay...

Go For Your Dreams
Dhaye Margaux Jul 2014
I am but now a young adult
And may you please consider this
I do not  want for an applause
Or recognition to be pleased

I am here at this stage
I'm at the middle of my life
So I just wish my future days
Won't be that sad nor full of strife

The only thing that could help me
Keep away from all the pressures
Is this feeling that I am free-
Freedom in words and in gestures

Have you considered to speak your mind
To tell those things you really feel?
Or you just sit down in one corner
Then cry alone, nothing could heal?

Oh youth, please do remember this
The only thing I could tell you
You have this big chance to be happy
There are much things that you can do

Your hands are skilled in making things
They almost beg, hear when they call
The crafts that only you could make
Now is the time to show them all

Your words that long hidden inside
Could be the best song or story
Or they could be the finest poem
Let them be heard, let the world see

If you can paint, just paint it all
If you can sing, just sing it out
If you can write, just write the words
No matter what, feel free to shout

Life is too short to **** yourself
By doing things you do not want
Or just to grow old with much regrets
That in the end you'll make a rant

Always remember that time's a gem
You should not waste, you should not stop
While still young, go for your dreams
Express yourself and reach the top!
To the young artists:
Go for your passion. Go for your dreams.
Don't waste your time. Be free. Express yourselves. Express your creativity. There is art in everything. There is an artist inside of everyone of us.

Yes, I am you, I can be neutral, hot or cold
I am different yet I am every human in this world
Your mind's not mine yet you have my heart
Your soul, my soul, yet we are still apart
Your eyes sometimes  look like mine
Your ears never differ when one plays a line
Your skin is fair but inside I have the same
You also hope for a momentary power and fame
Who doesn't want joy is such a hypocrite
I see you in the mirror when you want to quit
You sing my song when you stand and walk
I wear your clothes whenever I talk
Now, why don't you hold my ***** hand?
I never question your feet when full of mud
We both dance when music plays
Yet one might stop and leave when the other stays
As painters, we borrow each others paint
Yet your art could make them call you a saint
I should have no question, this is life, I know
We're just actors playing a complicated show...

Feel the kisses, the hugs

ONE DAY
Dhaye Margaux Aug 2014
(A response poem to Neil Aranda's "Weeds")

I was once a plant, a kind of my own
Oh, a plant that was not eagerly sown
And from that infertile soil, I have grown
Like a **** in wilderness, just unknown.

My ancestors treat me like I'm nothing
Nobody cares if I have done something
But still I don't want to stop believing
Persist to live through hoping and dreaming.

And then they call me as a wild flower
Condemn me like I'm a serial killer
They provoke each other as believer
Each one must be an active decrier.

But one day, my kind will be recognized
As that one good plant, a kind which is nice
From this barren land, I promise, I'll rise
And I'll be that strong, one day I'll be wise...

She always look outside her door
Or stay beside her window pane
She wants to know and see much more
Her neighbor’s deeds and what they gain

She has to meet the rich and poor
She always look outside her door
But that motive of yesterday
Gone with the wind, 'twas blown away

She’s now but an observant one
Who always judge and sneers at man
She always look outside her door
Seems she forgot what is life  for

This poor woman, she never know
That now she looks like a scarecrow
While her feet stands flat on the floor
She always look outside her door.

Marry the man who cannot see
The one who can't reach the apple tree
Or if ever a modern Eve will lead him there
He won't bite the fruit of great despair

Marry the man who cannot hear
The one who won't believe a deceiving seer
Or if ever a sea goddess will call for him
He won't dive in there, he will not swim

Marry the man who dreams for your joy
The one who never thinks you just need a toy
Or if ever you wish for a complicated task
He will do it to see you smile without why to ask

Marry the man who never looks at your face
But rather sees more of your inner grace
Or if ever you're pretty, he will always tell
You have a beautiful heart and he knows it well

Marry the man who forgets everything
Just to offer you the most precious ring
Not a thing of silver, diamond or gold
But a ring which tells a great love ever told

All of these might true but it doesn't mean
You will search for the one who will treat you as a queen
If ever someone comes and tells that he loves you
Just marry the man when you're ready to say *I do

You Will Always Be There
Dhaye Margaux Jun 2014
Oh, why each morning is like a bright looking glass
And my night's like a theater without a curtain?
Tell me why an overnight seems like a new day
That when I can't see you, life seems so uncertain?

Each moment that I cannot see you, my dearest
Even your shadow is always enough for me
My heart always smile like that of an angel's beam
Brought by this precious love only I could see.

Though I couldn't reach you with these frail arms and hands
I can still touch you, my dear, in my cherished dreams
My mind and my heart, they were strong, I'm not afraid
Only you and I, we can get through the extremes.

In what kind of world does this heart couldn't see you
If there's only one image in these eyes of mine?
Our time is running fast and yet we cannot feel
When you're here beside me, I will always be fine.

If this world of ours is a waving temptation
It would still be a bright path when we truly care
Rhythm of our hearts will echo and resonate
A place is paradise where you'll always be there!

NAME
Dhaye Margaux Jun 2014
I breathed in a kind of life
Which conformed to that one I evoked
Carried my own identity
Which I valued so much
Gaining honor from the league
Yes, I was distinguished.

You offered me your name
So pure and white to my eyes
Accepted, love and nurtured it
Like what I have done to mine.

We echoed to the world
The best alliance we have
Glowing and sparkling like a diamond
But only for a moment in time.

The force between us was great
Pushing us to opposite directions
The friction became so intense
Which created the flame of ire.

Why not?
You ruined the thing I valued the most
Crashed it behind my eyes
With your selfish plans
Of which became sharp knives
That cut it all.

My name, my precious name!
Was now but a ***** rag into their eyes
And nothing I have done
But a thousand sighs and cries in the dark.

In my dark moments I remembered
The pledge that we have made
And so I stood and dressed up
Walked in nobility
Breathed the same air
Just like before
Ah, I have to win this task
Though only risks were all displayed.

I fought for you
For our name, for our life
But you left me alone in the dark
Cleaning that messy ground
With such sticky dirt
That are hard to wipe out.

Now I am trying to breathe again
In the same way I once knew
Hoping that I may redeem
My name that once they revered.
Will you fight for it?

Dhaye Margaux Oct 2015
~~~¤~~~
You can caress me or slap me on my face without touching me, my dear
You can **** me with too much depression, I swear
You can twist my arms, break my bones and tear me apart
Your words are sharper than a sword, they hit me right through the heart.
Motivated by a conversation with a friend who is depressed at this time.
The Painter
Dhaye Margaux Jun 2015
She undressed in front of the mirror
Then stared at it once again
To that amazing canvass for years
To it, painted every emotion
Every pain, every laughter
Yes, both her joy and sadness
The storms she has faced
The mountains she has climbed
The seas, the rivers, the lakes
Every wave she passed
But the most beautiful painting
Was the man holding a glass bird
It is there, where she can hear her heartbeats
That painting...
Acceptance
Dhaye Margaux Dec 2016
~~
I miss my smiles
Somehow I just need
To accept my failure
So that I will learn
To smile again
failure is part of life
How We Live
Dhaye Margaux Sep 2014
What is love without having sacrifice?
What is sacrifice without a true devotion?
Is there a devotion that is forced by men?
Does sacrifice mean a forced obligation?
We often seek devotion from other hearts
We often ask for sacrifices but then we assess
We often force others to love and care
Yet we often think more but we feel less.
Do we really see ourselves from the mirror?
We are created to become creators-
of a brighter sky and a calmer sea
of a softer beeeze and a greener pasture.
Everyone has his legacy, everyone has a dream
Everyone wants both the sun and the rain
Everyone wants to smile, to laugh and to grin
Everyone wants to move on from too much pain.
Then let each other live freely and try to understand
So we can tell the world how we love and care
How do we sacrifice and show our devotion
How we live our life that is really fair!
True devotion...
That Girl In The Rain
Dhaye Margaux May 2015
That girl in the rain
You found yesterday
Who was crying alone
Now that you're with her
She still cries, but not in pain
There are tears of joy
And smiles and laughter
Because you came
An angel to her
That girl in the rain
Who saw rain like tears
Now that you opened her eyes
Rain becomes a beautiful thing
You never leave her
Together, you dance in the rain
I can see clearly
Two shadows under the rain--
A man with wings
And *that girl in the rain
.
She loves the rain. <3 <3 <3
No Reasons
Dhaye Margaux Feb 2015
I love you, I love you
I don't know the reasons why
I just want to love you
I am happy being me
When I am with you
It feels like you are me
And I am you
I can't be me
If there's no you
So happy.  Thank you.
