the mud is still fresh
from last night's rain

but twigs still crunch
beneath my feet

the leaves are green
as we are deep into Summer

birds chirp
squirrels scale

the trunks of trees
and I wonder

and about the price
of tea

“Try and be patient,
Have plenty of hobbies,
Keep your friends,
We do need them
Even if we don’t always think the same as them,
Be happy -
Even if you have to work at it”
Wise words of advice from my mum who sadly is no longer here 🥰
Love is a bitter ache,
And a mad sea
Beneath a pounding storm.
But,
I still whisper
Drunk off its sweet wind.
You could boil my blood
But I still want you

I need you.

Ray
the clouds tonight
once white, floating in blue skies
reappear
in the dark, in the light
from a waning moon
Oh where has that sun gone today?
The clouds are grey!
But the airs ok!
I was hoping to go out to play!
With the sun on my skin.
On the sun lounger I’d lay
So where is the sun today?

I want to draw
what is in my heart
cathartic pictures
screaming the pain I feel
but I have neither the talent
nor the ink to express
all the skulls I see
dancing in the subset
Lost my dad, lots of poems about my sadness, sorry.
For the one you love

no matter how much you do

it never feels enough.
Rejection
With a side of
Self torture
It’s no one’s fault
It didn’t work out
You quietly ignore
Today as before
Not even sure
If you can see the door
Surrounds You
A liquid
Blanket of warm
Protection
A silent Form of greeting
That you Welcome now
In Grace
And freedom
