How can this be?
These vessels swim on
A cellophane sea

It’s art,

As they move
Slowly constricted
Somewhat restricted, on
A cellophane sea

The crane swoops down
Barely misses a fish with
Tissue paper fins
It would have
Been a meager
Lunch

The eye of
A paper mache
Hurricane moves in,
Slowly crawls
It flows,
It flows,
They all survive,
On a cellophane sea

Lost in abstract thought right now...

Like a burning candle,
I melt.
Disappear right before your eyes.
Gone before you even notice.
                              That flicker you see
                                  The moment of hesitation
      Is me almost not wanting to leave
                 Almost
                                            I'll burn you
Within a few seconds
                                       I'll burn down myself
     Within another
             Touch me and
                                          All you'll feel is pain
                                                                   I'm cold at first
                   But only because I'm so dangerous
                I'll hurt you,
Which is something I just don't want to do.

Moments there are when I'm high,

A feeling I can't quite describe,

Nights are the most lonely times,

But when the sun comes up I'm down again.

Quickly swept into the day,

The wind picks up and makes me sway,

Both friends and strangers will me to stay,

But I go home and I'm down again.

The highs and lows of now and then's,

My moods seem to swing on a pendulum,

I'll visit places I've never been,

But when I return I'm down again.

Dear Future Me,
I have always looked up to you.
You make mom proud, which I've always tried to do.
You know what you want, and you know who you are.
You stand steady on ground, while you reach for the stars.
You are confident, and you love yourself.
You are honest, with you and everyone else.
You know your flaws, and you embrace them.
You know your dreams, and continue to chase them.
You make plans, then carry them out.
You set goals, and don't give into doubt.
You are friendly and kind, even to haters.
You crave commitment, and stay away from the players.
And finally,
The best version of me.
