The sun was shining very bright
In my very darkest night
The stars' they misaligned
The moon I simply couldn't find
Left frozen on that August day
A blizzard of emotions in the way

Amongst the pain and agony
I found myself on bended knee
No longer able to stand
Buried in your life's sand

So now on my belly I'll crawl
Banging my head against the wall
Knowing I'll never see the light
This situation I can not fight

For you see our darkest hour
That leaves us all to cower
Rarely ever comes at night
It attacks when the day is bright
So sleeping with that gun under your pillow
Won't stop the winds of change that billow

Rough stubble and eyes a haze
Slow smile droops at my touch.
Gentle spirit with eyes a glaze
That’s how I like you best.

Velvet, lace, hearts race
Lipstick on your cheek
Not too deep.

Sleep, wake up
Wake up, then sleep
Don’t dream because dreams are too good to keep.
Wake up, then sleep
Leap to your feet when I snap my fingers
You’re in my trance.

Forget about stars that dance
Remember I’m a universe.
My skin feels like silk
You see my beautiful complexity.

Velvet, lace, hearts race
Lipstick on your cheek
Not too deep.

Sleep, wake up
Wake up, then sleep
Don’t dream because dreams are too good to keep.
Wake up, then sleep
Leap to your feet when I snap my fingers
You’re in my trance.

Valentine's Day 2017
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I wrote this in class (where nostalgia hits me again after remembering looking at the same person years ago and then writing an idea I got from them).
Hope you like it :)

Understanding
Seeing a girl choosing a boy
who is less than her and
Vice versa
can be a great decision
to have a beautiful life...

It's hard living in a world where no one cares
While your smothered and shallowed by despair
Sitting here wondering why I was born into this place
Not wanting to be part of this human race
Where money is the great and powerful Oz
It doesn't matter what's the cause
I look and see their hearts have grown cold and calloused
Everything is so off balanced
There is no more unconditional love
No help from up above
We have been abandoned
The trumpets have sounded
Humanity has been stripped of it's compassion
Empathy is in short ration
Gone are the ways of old
To these values we no longer hold
Now it's I'll do for you if you can do for me
That's not the way it's supposed to be
But everyone's eyes have been closed
Their souls have become thorny and cold
We are no longer judged on our thoughts and actions
But by how much money we have for the coming attractions
For if we don't have enough to pay
We become part of the play
We are condemned to be the *****
Then feed into the machines of war
