rotten flowers spill from her mouth
but her smile makes them look beautiful
"her words, she doesn't mean them" i mutter
grabbing the flowers by the handful
she says her fragile wings lay upon me
but they are iron shackles tightening on my wrist
she acts like she has nothing to lose
but has everything within her midst

she is poison and sugar

Let me ride on the cosmic lion
That visits our solar system
Allow us to roam through space
And allow me to pat his cosmic face
So that all the animals of the world can feel a bit safer
Knowing that there’s a cosmic lion watching over them

The Pain

we: the observers
you: the victims
we can never know the pain
we will try
to understand
to give you love
and support
but that does nothing
you are trapped
trapped behind a glass door of suffering
we look on
but we
cannot
know
the pain

let your cuts heal, we will take care of the knife

there's been so much tragedy this year, and last year, and the year before that. This is just my take on it from the outside.

Lost it

I've lost everything for you,
I can't feel anything for you,
I lost my ability to love, the ability to give,
the ability to trust, when someone's in need,
the ability to see, the ability to heal,
the ability to grasp, what I need,
someone give me hope, someone give me strength,
I'm losing my breath, I'm losing myself,
You made me become who I was afraid to be,
who I was afraid to be and never had I ever dreamed,
Balling up a fist, this time it's more of a gist,
Calling the darkness deep in, they say I'm the cutest,
Down on my knees, feels like I was born for this ****,
Giving up on me. I'm giving up on me.

You come to a point of realization that it's okay to give up. And that hurts so badly.

You're a powerful force that needs nurture and pamper,
The kind of love you deserve is far more precious and doesn't exist in this world,
Your existence is so special,
that even the world doesn't know where to hold,
So strong, yet, so peaceful is your soul,
I wonder how you'd grow old,
in the hands of love or,
just a goner to be told,
I wonder if these words would ever reach to you,
cause these are the hands that your soul needs to hold.

Better Now

She sobs on her knees
She begs God for mercy
She has finally been broken.

She sobs and she sobs and she sobs
Pleading with her Lord to hear her prayers just once
All signs of life, all evidence of a thriving spirit within her have been crushed.

Sobbing on her knees
And saying her final prayers
She has become so broken her shattered heart beats its last.

And now all is well.
Everything is so much better now.
She wonders if any of her former friends will be sorry, but everyone knows
Everything is so much better now.

Sorry if you find it just a little disturbing or a little too honest, but poetry has to be real to feel real and if it doesn't make you feel anything what's the point?
