I swirl galaxies
In a fit of pique

Soothe exo planets
Locked in orbit

Blow gentle air
From hot face
To freezing rear

This I
Centre of centreless
Space

Dimple in the chin
Of directionless
Being

Entire universe
Mere metaphor

Of how This I
May feel
Right now.

This vaunted ambition
These vaulted palaces

Celebrants all of

This I that
This I calls

God as a two year old
Stamping mighty feet

This nothing at all
This whatever
This I
That is what it is

And loves only
This I

Clash of flint
Against flint

Spark inspiration-
Sharp intake of
Cold cold breath

(Drawing on walls
Fair game-
New directions)

Made me a cave
Dug by hand and
Ax

To drag a mate
Cozy and sweet

Burn briar and herbs

Tame lion and wolf

All fingers
And opposing thumbs.

Standing upright,
Loser of all I survey

Surrender to the dance

And praise

Praise praise

Too this wonderful poet
the audacity to write about love
wears his heart on his sleeve.
Come back when you are sober,
come back when you have mended,
come back with adventurous tales
but come back **** it I need you.

It was glorious, quite a show
All from a kitchen window
Turning round to make some tea
And what came next I did not see
A quick gray thief smudged out the hues
And banished the morning news

cooking apples
wafting up the stairs
so intoxicating you want to die
now that you've smelled
the sweetest thing in life

page with room for another.

Share with me this white field,
wide as an acre of snow,
clear but for these tiny
markings like the steps of birds.

Come now.
This is the trough of the wave,
the seconds after lightning.
Thin slice of silence
as music ends,
the freeze before melting.
