Glittery, jittery raindrops.
An old, long lost friend turned cold.
Beckoning to move faster, and rush
Until out of the wet, and onto the damp cotton jump-seat
Faked bliss, but still happiness edges nearer
And nearer.

Little green bells of our lady of artistic inspiration
Observation and fresh vegetable
Graveyard maintenance.
The mundane.

Frog-legs dance on their tip toes.
Buttery biscuits and the sound of gagging from the stall--
Instantly gratified.
Small child-stares, and alone in a fantastic universe.
Melodies cease, imagination deflates
The mundane.

Sticky leaves stuck on black and white cats.
Voracious, they ravage the tall grass.
Passive-aggressive sunshine sprinkles now, and burns later.
Fortifying iced drinks, and pinkish, blueish, purplish
Does the sun go down?

Mundane mind, reach high;
Imaginative wave, melancholy sigh,
Doves flaunt pigtails, smile bleak,
Bathe in thy dimples, rose petal cheek.
Release thy fire, crimson filled blood,
Streams blush; powder'd skin should
Rise past thy flesh, gleaméd eyes,
Demolish dams, shamed Venus' demise.
Remembrance past, thy joyous face,
Heavenly muses, divine beauty embrace.
Formed angelic, ‘thy figure mould' said
From flower-scent, primrose soft bed.
Voice of a lark, nestéd a new,
Woman perfection, exist but few.
I'm not sure how these things work,
but we seemed to come together
through conversations and mocking arms.

My life had an affair with me
for seven years. No one knew,
as I loved the mundane.

******* in the air, body in the water,
quietly, we inhaled through our noses.
After the army, we stuck together.

Me and the mundane
put our arms around each other,
and of course, one thing led to another.

The mundane became my coffee,
daily, unremarkable, commonplace,
and perfect every time.

Really, what business did anyone have
making our love about them,
when we were interested in nothing but ourselves?

My magnificent mundane.
Tedious tasking and chores galore!
Unappreciated.
And disregarded as un-glamorous duty.
But there is something to be learned in folding loads of laundry.
Patience.
Satisfaction through servitude.
Attention to detail.
And most importantly... attention to Love.

Sparse is the lure of a bourgeois creature.
Give me a chance to show you,
I am
anything
but.

the very thing i fear,
the only thing plaguing my life,
the mundane.

it creeps up on me at the worst
of times and
eats away at my very soul.

it saps my life energy,
i resent it.
yet I have no choice,
but to live it.
yuck.

when my
                  face keeps blushing

when my
                 hands linger in your hair

when my
                smile gets crooked

when my
                  feelings feel bitter

when my
                  heart skips a beat

when my
                  thoughts left unspoken

after all i know
you are my wonderwall
I can meander by,
and 'neath a clear sky,
lean against the frosted window,
and softly peer beyond, and see
you with him,
and shed but a single soft tear,
and wither up inside.
You might see this shadowy figure
leaning against the glass,
and a stream drifting down,
and I pray you are moved to investigate
and hear fates subtle hints,
as I grow jealous and envious,
of someone I despise for he has you
but I do not.
