~for maddie~

the inference need not be discerned,
plain clear like a perfected blue sky
that took a millennium to craft so
well that you take it 100% for granted

even God needs trial and error to get it
right, and more to create a perfect anything
and any
body
and any
elephant
I was always on my own
even when i was deserted by you
for months, your silence haunted me
and a battle continued to rage in my heart
as i set out to seek the answers-
"are you there? are you alive?"
that futile simmer turned gray
which was meant to be full of love
i held meetings in my mind
my heart was asking to believe you
but my mind concluded you betrayed me
This poem is part of my Velvet Coffin poetry series.
mirror on the wall reflects my pain
it is a witness of my harsh reality
the pain i romanticized about someone
is a fake reflected image of my thoughts
the pain i never wished to tear my flesh
is the real persona i try to hide
This poem is part of my Velvet Coffin poetry series.

I emerge
Reformed from old
Rebuilt anew
Transmogrified
Revitalised
A new body
A new mind
What once was, altered
Adapted from past lessons
To build on
To be better
The catalyst?
Self-reflection
Something I wrote based on the word "metamorphosis"

I promise you,
Doom and gloom
Isn't all my poetry brings
I just have so much to say -
So let me sing!
I know they're long,
Mayhaps laborious
I like to use big words
Like noctilucence
But give them a read,
If you please
I'm no tease
My poems -
You just need to
Let them breathe
.....

Pretty please?
When I see no way out,
I cling to my father.
When I believe I cannot see God,
I quiet my soul until I feel him.

distant recollections
of the sun beneath the ripples
pulsing, surging, breathing
please don't let me drown

I shall sleep as long as these strings bind
but when I wake
will you still be there?
Poem 1 of the 'Streams of Longing' series
fragrance lingers after rain as rot lingers after new dawn
i knew you once and more but never enough
and we loop over and over folding and converging and haunting me into the abyssal distance of time
and now i sink
but i promise
i never forgot your scent
