Invisible bars
Whatever it wasn’t meant to be
Must be accepted by me
But I don’t want to be free
The door is wide open
And you encourage me to flee
I remain chained to thee
Whether or not you agree
I imprison you
Unwillingly
Within the bars of this poetry
A piece of you belongs to me
And I don’t know if I should
Be sorry

Cleansing
This is the time of the
Cleansing
Where audacity
And hypocrisy
Comes to the light
Though many will stay in the dark
Insisting that they are right
They will be the *****
Among the clean
Convinced their filth
Is pure and pristine

Nothing at all

Since you’re the standard

Ever undebted
Some days
You live in my mind rent free
All free
Yet
Priceless commodity
Thoughts of you
Seducing me
To write all this poetry
Beautiful muse
Feeding my mind
Free for both you and me
The way it will always be
Test it out,
You’ll see

You are the forest

Full of life

Addicted
It’s not easy to admit
When we’ve gotten too into it
Addiction
Whether it be drugs, a person, or anything
The temptation is too strong
Keep us chasing it all day long
Bend our lives around it’s demands
Become a mere shell of a man
Eat us from the inside out
Crave it, love it, chase it about
Obsession drives our every move
Skipping record
Defective grooves
Steals sleep, money, ruins mood
All the damage it can do
Life will make you play the fool
And the addict doesn’t even have to be you

Closure
You’ve got this idea
Closure
Stuck in your mind
And you feel like it’s owed
Your demand

Is really just a way
To ignore what you can clearly see

It is the nature of hypocrisy
That the hypocrite doesn’t see
What he or she

Downside
I thought
“I wanna always trend at the top”
But if every one
Liked every thing
What worth would it be
If no matter what dumb thing I say
Everyone agreed?

Vibe difference
Reading the atmosphere
Some fools just don’t care
Or they want to antagonize
Often claiming some noble mission
Really a rant in disguise
Kinda like this vibe
Rant in disguise
More than things are different
They are alike
Birth in the unmovable
Vibe of personal truth
In search of somewhere to root
Before transformation
Or disappearance
Personal truth feels vibes
Growing
The ability to connect
Vibes combine
Some volatile-lee
Others mellow smooth
Out there
Everywhere
Vibes
Created out of thin air

There is no such thing as a path that leads to nowhere
Maybe it didn’t get you
Where you wanted to go
But you’re still somewhere else
Than where you started

You grow

Keep your trash
Keep your dust
Keep your old bike full of rust
Keep dead leaves upon your lawn
Keep the reasons you won’t turn the lights on
Keep your old, familiar ways
Keep your always the same days
I can’t make you drop antiquity
But I can make you not keep me

Invisible fire
Can you feel what you haven’t discovered?
Do you hear the call of this unknown lover?
Pulling your consciousness to me
With sheer will
And the intense strength of my desire
Can you perceive the warmth of this
Invisible fire?
Can you feel my wishes taking you higher?
I’m burning for your cool
Let me be your fool
I’ll never give up on you
And there’s nothing I wouldn’t do
I wonder if you feel that, too

Imaginary cages
I want to be his medicine
I want to heal his soul
I want to bring him peace
Like he has never known
I want to bring him chaos, too
I want to bring it all
Give him pain and comfort
With my wild call
He sits on perches
Preening, playing,
Perfect to view
He wants for nothing
So what’s a hen to do?
He does not sing or caw or call
He thinks he’s already said it all
And frankly he could stay silent
And still be worth the time
Quiet bird
He may be free
When his cage is only imaginary

Dear poet
Please
Bring it to me
Lay it out raw
Tumble the soul
And the wash
In verse
Give me the best
And the worst
Tingle my insides
Magically
Using nothing but
Words and invisibility
Connecting through
Airwaves
Timelessly
You are magic
Dear Poet
Please
Bring it to me
If I never caught up
Can I fall behind?
Staying just short of the line
Yet never running out of time
Perpetual loss normalized

(Kid Rock) Badwitdaba
And this is for the questions that don't have any answers
The midnight glancers, and the ******* dancers
The can of freaks, cars packed with speakers
The Gs with the forties and the chicks with beepers

The northern lights and the Southern Comfort
And it don't even matter if your veins are punctured
All the crackheads, the critics, the cynics
And all my heroes at the methadone clinics

All you ******* at the I.R.S.
For the crooked cops and the cluttered desks
For the shots of Jack and the caps of ****
Half pints of love and the fifths of stress

All the hookers that are tricking out in Hollywood
And for my hoods of the world misunderstood
I said it's all good and it's all in fun
Now get in the pit and try to love someone!

Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy
Diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie (Love someone)
Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy
Diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie (Love someone)
All the gangs gettin' money and the heads they bang - bang
Wild mustangs, the ***** flicks
All my homies in the county in cell block six

The grits when there ain't enough eggs to cook
And to D.B. Cooper and the money he took
You can look for answers but that ain't fun
Now get in the pit and try to love someone!

Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy
Diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie.

I have no clue
Denying a beautiful man like you
Whatever her reasons

Beautiful
Man like you

That you have been kissing a fool

Man eater (Hall and Oats)
She’ll only come out at night
The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new
I’ve seen her here before
Watching and waiting
She’s sitting with you
But her eyes are on the door
So many have paid to see
What you think
You’re getting for free
The woman is wild
A she-cat tamed
By the purr of a jaguar
If you’re in it for love
You ain’t gonna get too far

She bop (Cyndi Lauper)
Well, I see  ‘em every night in tight blue jeans
In the pages of a blue boy magazine
Hey, I’ve been thinking of a new sensation
I’m picking up good vibrations
Oop, she bop, she bop
Do I wanna go out with a lion’s roar
Yeah, I wanna go south and get me some more
They say that a stitch in time saves nine
They say I better stop, or I’ll go blind
Oop, she bop, she bop
She bop, he bop we bop
I bop, you bop, they bop
Be bop, be ba, a loo bop
(I hope he will understand)
Hey, hey, they say I better get a chaperone
Because I can’t stop messing with the danger zone
I won’t worry and I won’t fret
Ain’t no law against it yet.

Junkyard Jockeys
You're the usual compliment guy
Telling women how beautiful they are
And how much better you would treat them than their boyfriend
Who you keep insulting
You are like the ***
Picking through bones at the junkyard
Searching for a part you can use
With no care factor about the
Wreckage you rip it from
But at least you found that usable part
And now you convince yourself that
The car is better off without it
And aren't you so great
You scrapped that girl for junk parts
And blamed it all on her ex mate
Junkyard jockeys, like you
Always come in late

Thin air
I had a song of judgement in my mind
Not of myself
This time
But of society
And of myself
Too,
Once I reminded myself
Society means
Me too
I had to rescind my judgement
And think a little further on it
And since I thought of all that
I no longer remember
What it was
But it was good enough to get me
To log on

The shadow of a beautiful form
After years of weird
The welcome norm
Inexplicably unique

And a feeling of free

Ever meant to be?

Lonely lighthouse
Does the lighthouse ever get resentful
Stuck there out on that rock
Watching all those lucky ships
Explore?
Does the lighthouse ever wish to sleep at night?
Does it look at other houses
From it’s isolated point
And see neighborhoods
Close houses, socializing
Christmas trees
House communities
Is this something the lonely lighthouse sees?

He's drinking too much
At 80 years old
Trying to dull whatever it is
That has settled into his soul
He wants to forget
All of the dirt
He has pushed under his rugs

Picnic
I want to lay you down on thick grass
In a meadow surrounded by forest
To look upon the quiet reflected in your face
Where is all that drama?
Gone without a trace.
Clothes become gone, too
And I just sit in awe of naked, beautiful you
We sun in silence
‘Cept the birds
Collecting all our unsaid words
Singing them back in bird language
Is this Heaven? Can I be dead?
Time seems to be kind
Lazy passing by
So comfortable between us
We don’t even have to try

You're the man of my dreams
After a long night of drinking
You are the perfect guy
When I'm not capable
Of thinking
If I Were King Of The Forest not queen, not duke, not prince
My regal robes of the forest would be satin, not cotton, not chintz
I'd command each thing, be it fish or fowl, with a woof and a woof, and a royal
growl
As I'd click my heel all the trees would kneel and the mountains bow and the
bulls kowtow
And the sparrows would take wing, if I were king
