Innocent
I love the stars
their beauty echoes like  the soft notes of your guitar
every star we see asks us to believe
a falling star, a shooting star or a bursting supernovae
they are our Casanova
We keep running in our races
But we're going nowhere brother
When will we all face it
That we need each other

Red, Yellow,  Black, and White
Inside all the same
No matter light of day or dark of night
The family of man

Play the card of ignorance
Where hatred does abound
Loss of life and innocence
Never to be found

Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jew
What ever mold and make
I am here the same as you
All for heavens sake

I am not like you
And you are not like me
All special in our own rights
If I may speak truthfully

Gay, Straight, Trans, or Lesbian
However you play your song
We all sing the same tune of man
Why can't we get along

All the Nations have a notion
Of how to survive
If we take this any further
None will be left alive

The North, the South, the East, the West
Be it green or be it sand
We're all on this big blue ball together
All in the family of man
I'm not condemning nor condoning anyone's Race, Religion, ****** orientation nor Country you come from. All I am saying is, while we're here...can't we just get along?
Our poems are fabrics

knit with the dreams inside
laid out in the open
so may a passing eye
grant a glance

a pausing mind
decides for a fleeting moment
to wear

thinking them their own.
It can’t be bought or sold
It never grows too old
It’s hearing an old song
A friend who’s long since gone
A clear starful of sky
A baby’s first shrill cry
It’s never losing hope
Though in the dark you *****
It comes just to remind us
Of all that is behind us
It’s all we see and feel
Christmas is very real
I wrote this for my Christmas card many years ago, and was happy when a friend's mother mentioned that she'd saved it.

rain

katie
This rain is torrential,
an endless purge
from Heaven,
no warning of its coming,
no clouds breaking
over the horizon
it is sudden & we are
no longer people,
  but fish swimming
in a vast ocean.
We wonder what we did
  to deserve this
as roads twist into rivers
& we sink to our knees
  praying for it to ease.
Days pass then weeks,
  money floats along streams
& we shed clothes & phones,
  forgetting we were once
professionals with important
roles, in this fishbowl
we glimpse each others soul.
Teardrop

Your not the one one to stay awake until the anxiety goes away,

Those teardrops fall like raindrops down the side of your contoured face.

Out of this world so vividly,
Watching the rain become the sea.

Opinions divided like rivers estuary,
That's where we meet,
And leave our legacy.

Sometimes it easier to let go and breath,
Than to carry on and bleed
Out.

But those tears
still
fall
like
snowflakes,
Melting my heart and changing the landscape of our lives.

Contours, contours,
Mountains divide us,
The sheer drop petrified me,
But I still want more than those tears,
A range of emotion and silent devotion,
To you and you alone.

At my highest peak
Teardrop.
Another drop of tears fall down your cheeks,
That's for your fears my dear.

Or maybe,
Just maybe,
it's just me.
