conquering insecurity
small minds
need rules to be kind
graphs and math
show us a soft safe path

who are we to ask him to teach
because now there is
no need for students to reach
all poetry's merits are ***** and laid bare
to wake to such a world
would give me a true scare
instead show me a sonnet above my head
that I read and read and finally get in bed
how scary is an unknown world
and yet I still prefer the mysterious dark pearls

In mind and heart
is where we truly find
the kind
those with deep souls
those we wish to know
when we grow old
and those we yearn for
to hold passage through the years
to have an ear to speak to
and say,
friend

something new
no time to be blue
a blank canvas
a fresh chance
wake me up from this trance
and lets enjoy
this ****** empty white slate
together
