after Bukowski's "The Laughing Heart"

my life is your life
it was never mine.
omission of submission
leaves no way out.
what's an offer of forgiveness
to a promise of betrayal?
a lost shepherd leading the blind.
under a loaded sky
someone sang
"there is a light and it never goes out"
a marvellous truth that
has taken my heart.
there is light somewhere
but not in my eyes.
heaven can wait.
the gods will have to delight
in themselves
a little longer.
When i first saw you,
I captured my soul with your gaze.
How beautiful that moment was.
i wish you were here
to dry my tears
but because you're gone
my tears flow on
i hate this whole pandemic. i hate having to be separated from everyone

Quietly my hand

caresses the fire with joy;

I watch my hand burn.

My body drowns in

the ocean's gentle feathers;

emerged in slumber.

My hand reaches for

the stars, trying to grasp the

untouchable air.

Energy flows through

your presence, travelling from

your very own core.
fire
water
air
earth
I watched the fabric,
Recording the time.
And counted the memories
Stitched line by line.

"everything happens for a reason"
is a line i'd rather not hear from now on.

reasons i wish i knew why,
what in my life it tries to imply.

i don't want to sit around and wonder,
what i could have done much better.
— here's to the things we wished we knew why it happened.

Fish bowls fish bowls

One day this fish was livin in her bowl
With mom and dad until the day that
It was time to leave the fish bowl

Then little girl grown out of the fish bowl
Started swimming into other bowls and
Much turf and rigid waters with surf
Landed a much bigger fish bowl

Till the day she needed her fishbowl
