Jet sets all corners
Neither here nor there
Touchdown low profile
Flashy car speeding past
I use to live there as a delinquent
The sounds of the sirens got them hooked hopeless wanton
The incantations echoes in minds
ThatΒ Β feeds the Insomniac
Our new hellos And goodbyes
Are only apparitions
Partly clichΓ©d partly prodigal
Until we see them concussed
shredded in colours of shade and shame jolted by our own pain...
Slain into a state of compassion
Our hearts prepare a banquet
On a budget of prodigious love
Our children tread disdainful trenches into our hearts but love for them is the balm that sooths the pain there is light in loving
metaphors have helped poets a lot to explain what they're feeling
either you're a storm
a cloud
a sunshine
a galaxy or
a star
but whatever metaphor you may be
you will still be the greatest treasure
they could ever get
and that's how beautiful metaphors are made.

I caught an arrow that broke your heart
You dodged a bullet meant for me
Shipwrecked relationships

It was the emergency room
He recognised them all
Some looked very happy
Some looked concerned
Some were crying
Some making prayerful gestures
But none looked like sugarman
He was too busy milking the
Lifeblood out of someone else
Drugs dealers don't rule they steal the lives of our love ones
I'm searching for intelligent life
not in outer space but here on earth.
I turn over a rock
and find congress, the president,
a couple used car salesman
and a worm.

the choice is obvious.
state,  federal government. how many laws do we need? an assembly woman wanted a law requiring seat belts for dogs. how about seat belts for school children for the school bus? apparently politicians have a lot of free time on their hands.

It was totally unexpected
He was her first for so long
But she cast him out into
The raging tempest of the cruel sea
Where serpent and sirens devour
And she found him on the same
Shore amongst the rocks.... without rage....
He had returned to her happy and unscathed
And as their hearts embraced
She whispered softly in his ear
Ironically you have come back
From the same place that I have been
Sometimes your first is your last and sometimes your last is your first
