Death Poem
As the sand falls from my fingers
(into the salt of the earth)
And digests it in instant reprisal,
My blood too is washed away,
Downstream
From my body -
Powdered and broken.

My Butterfly
A goddess in the morning.
Sunbeams barely touch her.
Through the window I see the
Shadow of a dragonfly on the grass
Darting back and forth.
A butterfly joins in the fun,
Meandering -
I look back at the goddess lying
On the soft sheets, now bathed
In dragonfly light,
Floating like a butterfly.

Downtown Vancouver
Your look of despair.
Standing irresolute.
Why won't you look at me?
Eyes looking down diffidently as I
See tears falling down
Your cheeks,
Gracefully,
Yearning for me to catch them
With my finger and place my
Soul into them and
Weep with you.

Untitled
Your eyes release their tears and
For a moment, they are caught in the crevice of your nose.
Then the saltiness reaches your lips,
And i want to kiss you,
To taste the entire flavour of
Your body.
