The Waiting Game.
Gaffer Dec 2015
You look the part
Dressed to ****
You hook me in
Part of the thrill.
But I’ve played this game too
We wait to pursue
He chats you up
But he’s not the one.
Your eyes say that.
He has to run.
How will it play
Will you walk away
You change the scene
Let him in
A little laugh
Such a sin
He’s not for you.
You know that too
I send you a drink
Not to late
You smile inviting
Could be fate
But I’ve played this game too.
How we pursue
I'm not the one
Not tonight
But someday before it’s too late
Who knows
Could be fate.

Silent But Deadly.
Gaffer Nov 2015
Shallow days on memory lane
She was sick of the looks
Safely hidden, he’s free
Stupid men in suits
Softly softly, on the move
Shut out, she’d show them
Silent strike, number seven
Suits in panic, no trail
Surrounded by friends, searching
Serial killer, public panic
Satisfied, eyes set on number eight
She sees the connection
Sky is black, perfect conditions
Suits are skeptical
Standing in the shadows, he waits
She gets confirmation
She’s walking towards him
Slowly slowly, she opens the door
Smiling, he strikes
She stabs upwards
Something not right, he runs
Suits all around
Sees number eight
She's laughing.

Great Personality.
Gaffer Nov 2015
She was naked except for a frown
I knew that face
I sat her down
Tell me honey, what’s on your mind
Are you making a statement
Am I a clown
Was it something I said
Maybe didn’t do
Give me a clue
Is it your birthday
No, anniversary, did your mum die
Let me down gently, don’t lie
Well I must admit
You’ve really stumped me now
Speak up woman
Get it out
I’m not a ****** psychic
You’re driving me nuts
No more buts
Spit it out woman

I’m not your wife
Your trouble and strife
This is not your house
You idiotic louse
Now get to hell out
And let me leave you in no doubt
If I was your wife
I would shoot you dead
Cut off your head
Dance around your grave
Shoot you again
Just so I could save
The very best for last
The final blast
Now do one.

Well, glad you set me straight
Bit melodramatic
Couldn’t you just scream
Wake me from my dream
When I said spit it out
Didn’t expect a ****** rout
A hissy fit
Raving woman, foaming from the mouth
Words heading south
Anyway, whilst I’m here
Seems a shame
Don’t suppose you fancy
That’ll be a no
Okay, suppose I better go
Although I do think you’re a real hit
Oh, and great 'personality.'

Time.
Gaffer Nov 2015
He reckoned she was about seventeen
Tight young ******* fitted snugly into a tight young body
She stripped naked as the sea gently stroked the shore
He looked past her to the rocks five hundred metres to the left
That's where he would be
Perfect position for the perfect shot
She saw he was engrossed in her
Old enough to be her father
Wonder if he's getting excited
She would be the first to be shot
Life ended before it begun
He would have a chance
Silhouetted between the rocks
It would be a waiting game now
She glanced up to see if he was still watching her, he was
A nice feeling ran through her
He'd played this game many times before
Lasting hours, sometimes days
Death the ultimate price, always death
She didn't understand
She was willing him to her, letting him take what she was gladly giving
He tried to recall his own youth, nothing came
He was sure a naked young girl would be every boys dream
Now he just wanted a woman to hold tight
Just to be there
He glanced past her one more time
Slowly retreating using the rocks as a shield
The traffic began to build up as he reached the sanctuary he called home.

love smoke
Gaffer Nov 2015
I draw you in
Five rings of smoke appear like magic
Your face on every one
Christ how romantic am I
Maybe drink a JD  in your honour
It's amazing how little things bring you to me
The phone comes alive halfway through your honour
Your soft **** voice sends a tingle down my spine
You say it's over
Well, that was out of the blue
I draw you in
The sign on the packet
Smoking can damage your health and eventually **** you
So profound
I check the bottle of JD
No warning on that
You disappear into the clouds
Every one a silver lining.

All Around.
Gaffer Nov 2015
You can run, you can hide
But you won't get far
Cos I’m outside
In your dreams
Through your day
Where you turn
I’m in the way
Bury me deep
Place the stone
Read the speech
Walk alone
I see you
What you did wrong
Bolt the door
Protect your soul
Build the barricade
Dig the hole
I’m in your mind now
Do you see
Yes, it’s really me
Unbolt the door
Tear the barricade down
I’m all around
How do you get free
You can run, you can hide
But you won't get far
Cos i’m outside
I’m pushing
Surely you can see
Your only option
Is on the tree.

Would you say that I intensify your inner being
Intensy what
Do I subjugate your very person
Is this bed talk, cos you know I’m a simple fellow
Do you still have the same propensity towards my body as you used to have
Okay, think I know this word, *** in the woods, am I right
Would you say you’re sharp and sententious
If that means well endowed, defo
I don’t mind you being thick
Length and girth, womans dream
Dumb
Of course he’s dumb, too much talk
I mean you, you are dumb
What, wow, no need for insults
Last night in the bar
I was with you last night
Were you
Do believe I was sitting beside you, I’m the handsome guy
Sure you weren’t staring down the barmaids blouse all night
Actually, at times I thought you were ****** breast feeding
How much was the bill last night
What’s that got to do with it
Just asking
Don’t know, hundred, hundred and fifty
Nothing
What
She’s not the barmaid, she’s the owner, I deliver there, usually a bit extra, get it
Loud and clear
You’re an entrepreneur
That means big boy doesn’t it
It sure does, big boy, lets go.

The Vultures Dance.
Gaffer Nov 2015
Timelike and the decaying bodies piled high cease to amuse the vultures now

Single shots give the rebels confidence

They attack in force

Heavy machine gun fire from the west toss bodies into the air like ragdolls

Textbook

Vultures  tearing at eyes of the dead and dying

Bullets to precious for mercy

The night brings natures other cleaners

Muffled screams heighten the reactions as night vision survey death in technicolor

The ponderous wait continues

Stroking metal like some *** provoking act

Followed only by counting lives little savers, bullets of love

The vultures dance impatiently

The stroking intensifies

Hairs stand ***** as movement waves majestically towards its final objective

A sudden calm unfolds

Nature watches in awe as love is unleashed in her garden for the final time

The call to bayonets now, takes man down to his lowest form of savagery

Eyes now meet, screaming death the ferocious last act of  men past the point of madness

Blood flows as metal slice through skin and bone, swaying death the final frenzy as screams die the days end

Men cry as they survey the last atrocity of human barbarity

Battle ended, vultures marvel feasting on the final meal

Battle hardened men massacre memories  leaving Celebrations a distant Country as blood red hands refuse to wash

They would never return.

Gaffer Nov 2015
She was definitely dumping him
All she needed was the right opportunity
It was like that song
Fifty ways to leave your lover
Now just to get it through to him
You’re crap in the sack Jack
If only you were more like Stan
What a man
Or even Gus
Though you do have a lot in common with Gus
You always go by bus
God, you’re so last year
Out on your ear
Okay maybe that was a bit severe
Need a new plan
I’m just going to tell you straight
Before it’s too late
Don't come on all coy
There's something I have to tell you
It's about me and Roy
I’m having his boy
I know what you’re going to say
What happened to Lee
Let me see
It started on the bus
Him and Gus
I don’t want to discuss
Okay, well Stan caught them
Do I need to spell it out
Stan said they were all like brothers
Now it seems they two are lovers
Stan was devastated
I mean, was that in the plan
Anyway, Roy told him about us
Which was fatal for you and Gus
When the driver braked
Driving the bus
Stan no more
So I end this letter
Missing you Jack
Such a young age to leave
Just turned fifty, lover.

Twenty three and twenty one produced a son
Cried the sisters of time

Just in time, to scream

Has done for years
Maybe he likes the spot
No, it’s tragic
Pray tell
Well, i don’t actually know
I Think his wife died there
You think
Yes, my mother told me when i was a child
Told you what
Told me something tragic had happened
But you don’t know what
Well, you don’t ask
Why don’t you ask
You don’t impose in peoples grief
Everybody knows that
Is he grieving
Of course he’s grieving, it’s obvious
It’s curious, not obvious
One way to find out though
You’re not going to ask him
I am

The story

I sit here everyday
For everyday the scene changes
Today i see a couple across from me
Other days, it maybe a jogger, dog walker, children playing.
Sunshine, rain, gales, snow
I will go home and paint that scene
It will always be different
And with a twinkle in his eye, he laughed
I may even have painted you as a child out with your mum
The ice was broken
My mum always brought me here
She would love it to think someone had painted us
They spoke in length
A stroll in the park had changed her life
The visit to her mum was extra special
She had a special gift.

Why Can't You Be Romantic.
Gaffer Oct 2015
Brian, you’re so boring.

So you keep telling me.

Why can’t you be more spontaneous.

Did I or did I not bring you in a daffodil.

You brought in a dandelion.

Think of it as a gesture.

That’s what I mean, it's a token, now Mary's boyfriend robbed a bank to buy her a ring.

That's the guy who’s doing ten years.

That's besides the point.

So you want me to rob a bank for you.

No, I want you to be more like Tasman's boyfriend, he went on top of a moving truck with a banner saying, I love you Tasman. So romantic.

That was the guy who died when the truck went under a low bridge.

That’s not the point.

And another thing, at the funeral, why were your friends calling me Brent.

I was trying to make you sound sophisticated.

Oh you did that alright, Brian Crude became Brent Crude, your idiot friends thought it was hilarious.

Well, how the hell was I to know it was an oil company.

He thought to himself, you want something romantic, I’ll ****** well give you something romantic.

Why did you give me a giant Teddy bear? This is what I mean! Jist think for two seconds, will you.

Two days later

Erm. What's this?

If I didn't know better, I'd think that it's a letter.

Ha-ha. It's addressed to the teddy bear: "Only for teddy".

Well then you should give it to teddy.

Don't be silly, a stuffed animal can't read. And it's your hand writing.

Well I'm sorry but it's between me and Teddy.

#later that night while he was out, she just couldn't help herself.

"Dear Teddy,

I hope you're well. I'm sending you this letter because as we discussed earlier, I won't be home tonight. I wanted to make sure you'd take good care of my girl. Just remember, she likes:

- warm cuddles
- chocolate
- chick flicks
- long conversations
- kissed on the forehead
- roses

I knew you wouldn't be able to pick up some of the above so DHL is delivering the chocs, Eat Pray Love the movie and roses tonight. Be sure to be home at 8 pm.

I expect you to take your responsibilities seriously. One wrong cuddle can make her over think all night. I better not find her over thinking. You know how special she is to me.

Best regards,

Brent"

I understand what you’re saying now, if I did that exam again I would pass.

The Dark Days.
Gaffer Oct 2015
He saw her through the dark days
It took time
But time was all he had
The battle, he was  winning
He could plan the future
Small steps
But steps nonetheless
They would walk, talk
He wouldn’t rush
The critical time would come
The second breakdown
He would be ready
Had to be
The pouring of grief trickling,
Flowing quicker,
Then the torrent
It was hell on earth
Described like an exorcism
She would sleep now
He could relax
Regain his thoughts
Plan the next step
He was in a positive mood
He went to check on her
No sign
His heart began to beat faster
Logic was lost
Run and search
Not panicking, but panicking
Blind panic now
Tears were flowing
In his mind he saw it
Dismissed it
Find her, keep searching
She was gone, he knew
Hated himself
He sat down in despair
She was watching him
Trying to take his pain
Reassure him
Take the burden away
It would take time
But time was all she had now
She was released
The pain had gone.

The House. ( part 1. )
Gaffer Oct 2015
I put a deposit down on a house.
Great, whereabouts.
Mars.
Is that the name of the new estate we passed yesterday, when can we move in.
Eight or ten years.
What, who the hell’s building it, the seven dwarfs.
It’s on the planet Mars.
You bought a house on planet Mars, did you put a deposit down.
Yeah, ten thousand pounds.
My mother was right about you, twenty four carat *****, did you buy the Tower of london as well, maybe the Statue of liberty as an ornament.
Don’t be silly.
You’re calling me silly, I’ll be a laughing stock when my friends find out about this. I can hear them now, that’s Sally, her husband bought her a house on Mars. I should have married Geoffrey, he lives in a big house, and he’s sane.
He’s also gay.
I don’t care, I would have straightened him.
You really can be melodramatic at times.
Melodramatic, that’s it, you’re so dumped.
Right then, I’m going.
Great, if you hurry you’ll catch the 65 doing the planets run.
Phone rings, It’s mummy.
Hi honey how you doing.
Terrible mum, I’ve just thrown Paul out.
You should have done it years ago, the boys a *****.
I know, I’ll not tell you what he did.
Knowing him, it’ll be something spectacular, have you seen the news.
No I’m depressed enough.
You wouldn’t believe this, that estate agent up the high st was selling plots of land on Mars, they were going like hot cakes, they sold out in minutes.
That's why I threw him out mum, the idiot bought one.

The House Part 2

Oh darling, get him back, they tripled in price after ten minutes, they were saying they could be worth a million pounds in ten years time.
What, are you sure.
Yes, check the news.
Phone call to you know who.
Hi Paul where are you, sorry about throwing a wobbler, you sort of caught me on the hop.
Geoffrey’s putting me up.
What, did anybody see you going in.
Why.
You know why.
I don’t know why.
Never mind, when are you coming home.
Don’t know, Geoffrey says I can stay as long as I want.
Just say the word bike shed to Geoffrey.
Okay, Right he’s went a strange colour, think I’m coming home now.
Home.
Listen Paul I was thinking, wouldn’t it be great to start a family on Mars, or even keep it as an investment.
No, I've been thinking too, and you were right, it was a dumb idea, I sold it back to the estate agent.
What, how much for.
The same, ten thousand.
My mother was wrong about you, you’re a forty eight carat *****, do you know how much they plots are worth.
So it was just about the money.
Yes, you done one right thing in your life, then you undone it.
It’s only money Sally, we just put the deposit down on that new estate.
You put the money down yourself, I’ve decided to redump you.
Wow, I’ve never been redumped before.
Get used to it loser.
Next day - Phone call from the estate agent, Sally answers.
Just a message for Paul, that’s the gold taps installed, when would he like to see them.
What do you mean gold taps, he only put down a deposit.
No, he bought the house outright, three hundred thousand pounds.
Phone call to you know who.

The old church lay in ruins, left to languish in time.
He was sitting on the grave talking to Sergeant R Johnston.
Well, I suppose you want an update on the war.
Let me see now, where do I begin.
Monday 0500 hrs, Pete was the first to moan, ******* hate early mornings.
Well, you would stay up all night playing cards.
Yeah, well just you remember that’s two million quid you owe me.
You better watch my back then, don’t hesitate to take a bullet for me, and for fucksakes if you’re throwing grenades about, don’t forget, it’s not the pin you throw, it’s the grenade.
*******, I got over excited.
The attack was sudden, Tony got hit, we were lucky, the ambush was poorly planned, we killed five before they ran.
Back at camp, I was starving, full English was a must, pass the sauce old chap, is that this months ******* you're reading, just love reading the stories.
Yeah right.
Just last week I was reading about this woman who made love to an onion, brought tears to my eyes, do you know her life unravelled in front of her.
You’re full of ****, don’t get the pictures sticky.
News came in, Tony didn’t make it.
The trip to the ******* tent seemed less appealing now.
Kit check, clean rifle, count bullets, kit check, clean rifle, count bullets.
Letter from home, Mary and John are getting married, Mary.
I’ve to see that shrink, what do I say to him.
Tell him you want to unburden yourself, so we’ll call it quits on the money I owe you.
*******, I’ll warm him up for you.
Half an hour later.
******* ******, said my brain was like an onion.
He did, did he, the ***** *******, I was wondering where that magazine went.
You better go see him.
Come in, I’m Dr Massey, I’m going to have an informal chat with you, sort of get to know you, anything you want to ask me.
Your fly is open.
So sorry, right lets get started, you’ve been involved in a lot of the fighting recently, talk me through it.
Let me see, we’re heading out of camp, now I always check the lunch menu before we go, it’s fish, simple dish, not to long on the hot plate, splash of lemon, great. We’re at a standoff, so I say to Pete, toss a grenade at them, guy's a genius with a grenade, can throw it for miles.
Though for some reason he’s mixed up the procedure, the grenade ends up killing the livestock, the enemy see this as an insult and go bonkers.
Then just as things couldn’t get any worse, I get back to camp to find the chefs burnt the fish, I mean, how the hell can you burn fish.
Right, this is interesting, go on.
Next day we’re heading out, steak’s on the menu, now I like my steak well done, so I was looking forward to lunch. Quiet morning, get back to camp, the idiot’s used a flamethrower on the steaks, swear to god he’s the real enemy.
Can i ask you, when you’re on home leave, do you get flashbacks, and if so, how do you deal with them.
I usually discuss everything with Sergeant Johnston.
Right, this is good, he’s been through this himself.
Oh yes, amazing man, do you know he survived the Somme only to be killed a year later in a mining accident.
Okay, wind back a bit, you talk to Sergeant Johnston who is actually dead, does he talk back you.
Come on doc, he’s like the chefs best effort at cooking, dead.
Okay that was quite interesting, what’s on the menu today.
Lasagne.
Is that good.
If you want to die, yes, better off reading a magazine.
Do you read a lot.
Yes I was reading this magazine on the workings of the human body, right up your street doc, but I seem to have misplaced it.
Well I hope you find it.
So do I doc, it will be a definite relief.

Someday.
Gaffer Oct 2015
What’s wrong girl life getting you down
The burden of it all
Not like the old days when life was easy
We had it all
Now it’s all responsibility
Work and sleep
Do you know something
I can't remember the last time I saw you naked
Can’t remember the last time we had fun
Why don't we have a weekend away
What do you say
Life's too short to work it all away
What do you say
Let's just do it
Get away
It really is peaceful here
You choose well
Brought your favourite flowers
If I’m not too busy
I’ll pop back next week
Clean your headstone
Maybe the week after
Too much on next week
Do you know
Someday I’m just going to give it up
This is no kind of life
Can’t remember the last time I saw you
Did we have fun
That weekend
You went away
I was working.

The Nowhere Man.
Gaffer Oct 2015
Can’t find no time, must underline
He’s a nowhere man
He’ll  look you up and down
Don’t accept no sound
Call him the nowhere man
You don’t know his place
His face, there’s little trace
Must try and pace, no
That’s the nowhere man
He drinks, but doesn’t call
You might try him, that’s all
He’s the nowhere man
But somebody ain’t playing cool
A hand becomes a tool
Such a fool
You watch him riding out
The nowhere man.

The Potion.
Gaffer Oct 2015
She changed her name
Moved to a place by the sea
Where solitude had many friends
But only city girls know how to fly

He woke up one morning
To find her gone
He was grateful
Time was on his side

She felt safe for a time
Months began to pass
Time became the enemy
The city was calling her home

He was watching her
So pure
Just waiting for his touch
His gentle touch

She was watching him
Keeping it in
A shiver ran down her spine
Her mind ahead

He charmed like time was yesterday
Mesmerizing as the potion worked its way
Inviting her to a sensual sleep
Chained to keep

She looked deep into his eyes
He was searching for the answer as he passed into oblivion
She whispered
Only city girls know how to fly.

The Contract.
Gaffer Oct 2015
The other woman
She was okay for a time
But then she changed
Wanted to be the woman
But that’s not in the rules
She didn’t seem to understand
It’s written in stone
I told her
That’s why it’s called the other woman
She couldn’t grasp the fact
Wanted more
But more is not in the contract
She was insistent
I couldn’t get through to her
You are the other woman
The outer circle
I give you my time, presents
You give me ***
That’s how the contract works
She just wasn’t having it, wanted more
I had to **** her
She just didn’t see it
If she had just taken the time
She would have read it
The small print
In the contract.

Gaffer Oct 2015
I could tell by the intensity she knew the game
But I was far superior
She was there for the taking
She was toying with me
Does she know who she’s dealing with
The gesture with her hand
How dare she
Fate was surely on my side
After all, I was a man of the world
She was watching me
Like she knew my next move
She was challenging me
Challenging me
How dare she
I composed myself
Honour was at stake
She was smiling, inviting
I had her
She battled well
But knew it was the end
She screamed
I might only be four, but I can count
That was a two you threw
Now get down the snake you cheat
Mummy, he’s cheating again
He’s a man honey, that’s what they do
Someday a man would come to the door and ask for her hand
I wouldn't stand in his way.

The Boots.
Gaffer Oct 2015
You look great in those boots
But can you walk
Walk all over me
Straight up to your thighs
One kiss, and I’ll l surely die
Come on give me the eye
No point asking why
Okay, I want inside you
Five hundred dollars doesn’t lie
You can say you love me
That way, we’ll both get by
Life is so short between your thighs
Do you feel it
Deep inside
Makes you want to cry
I know you hate me
But you made the pact
Now it’s time to act
You look great in those boots
But can you walk
Walk all over me
Now it’s the talking part
Two strangers, heart to heart
Truths and lies
Smoke and why’s
I need to see you in my mind, you’ll get me through the tough times
You need the money
Seems rather funny, no money where I’m going
How about you, kids and all
How we fall
Two people in the night
Just getting through
As you do
Your boots on the floor
The last glimpse as I close the door.

It’s raining, death on the hill
No time for the final ****
You did look great in those boots
Will you walk for the final time
All over me.

Sex Addict
Gaffer Oct 2015
It was an instant affair
Lust at first sight
He gave it his all
Lasted all night
She watched him go
Marked him a eight
Gave a slight grin
As her fingers slid in
Shower and fed
Work for the dead
Tonight someone new
Speak *****
Just *****
Gave him a five
For being alive
Left in no doubt
As she threw him out
She sighed with a grin
As the love wand slid in
What does a girl have to do
To get a decent *****
Told him straight
Hold tight, please wait
What does he do
Wasn’t even worth a two
Opens her drawer
To her comfort and joy
The wonder boy
Go down, stop
Okay you’ve reached the spot
What are you doing
Not a lot
Not even worth a mark
Thrown to the sharks
Opens her drawer
Rubs in some cream
Pops in some eggs
Lets out a scream
Starts to dream
He’s shaped like a *****
Packs his own cream
No batteries required
Where has he been
Finally found her man
Ten out of ten
Thank you god, amen
Wakes up with a smile
But just for awhile
Ah well, great for a time
She sighs with a grin
As her fingers slid in.

Odds.
Gaffer Oct 2015
He heard the door slam
She would be back tomorrow
Bet my last dollar on it
One week
Would have lost that bet
Odds on, she’ll be back tomorrow
Stake my life on it
Lost that one
Birthday coming up
Two to one she’ll walk through the door
Just going through a losing streak
Anniversary
She wins by a mile
Fell at the finish
Christmas
She’ll need to turn up for her present
Put this behind us
The odds are good
New years resolution
I quit, bet you I do
She’s not coming back
What were the odds on that.

Dirty War.
Gaffer Sep 2015
It was never about the goodwill, the charm
Not remotely
Just the lies
But not any old lies
No, lies that made a difference
Dropped into conversation, subtlely
Then became consequences
Affecting lives
Watching as the poison took effect
Gratifying from a distance
Better than a shot to the head
Moving on to the next one
Words at the end of the phone
More words, just a hint
Heresay
Death on a dark night
Senseless, yet so brutal
No affiliations, why
Small wars breakout
New faces, click
Names to faces
Phone call in the night
Chaos ensues
Car stops as shadowy figure enters from the dark
Drives off
Dossier complete.

The guy went crackers in the war
Now he sells daffodils down  the old grave road
Sings songs about the dead
His daily bread
The kids throw stones
Shout out names
It’s a shame
Who can you blame
One day the kids were playing in the river
Tommy got into trouble, panic ensued
They ran to him in tears
He ran back with them, diving straight in
Tommy felt the strong arms lift him above the water
His friends pulled him onto the grass
I’ll go back for the rest he shouted
It was only Tommy
No, there’s always more
He swam out till lost from view
They talked about him for awhile
The usual words always came back
He went crackers in the war.

Best Friends.
Gaffer Sep 2015
It was one of those days
Started with the shower
She wanted to join me
Which in any other day would’ve been great
But her best friend was sharing it sort of to speak
It was a sympathetic sort of share
Which was true
The wife did leave me on the Friday
To visit her mum
Coming back on the Monday
So technically she lied
Coming back on the Sunday
A good lawyer would pick up on this immediately
Granted, when I told her best friend she had left me
I maybe forgot to mention it was only for the weekend
Anyway, back to the problem at hand
The shower has packed in love
Okay sweet chops, I’ll be naked waiting for you
Right love, oh god don’t go into the bedroom
You *******
She went into the bedroom
So anyway, since it was Sunday, I popped out for the rolls and papers
He did this every Sunday the Lawyer explained
Two Police cars, sirens blaring flew up towards the house
So as the Judge stated, jailing her for 90 days, taking into account the mitigating circumstances in this sorry affair
Could have been a whole lot worse I suppose
So I was at a loose end, and a visit to the hospital was long overdue
Naturally I took the obligatory grapes and flowers
Technically she was still the wifes best friend
But my god, if you could’ve seen the venom coming out of that one good eye
I swear, if she could speak through that wired jaw
I would have got a right ear bashing
So i sat down on the bench eating my grapes, thinking
I do hope they two can put this behind them
Probably laugh about it in 83 days.

***, I’m slightly gay
It’s always been that way
I try to hide it
But it just won't go away

That’s what I love about you
You’re feminine too

Man, what have I done
Where do I run
Okay, plan two
***, think of the kids
What would they think
Daddy wearing a dress
Their little faces
Such a mess

Don’t worry babe
Take my hand
Let me introduce you
This is my mum

My god, what a body
So fit
Where’s that jeweller
Book the church
I’ll marry her mum
And then some
I’m in love

Babe, don’t get carried away
Theres something I have to say
It’s about my mum

***, tell me all
Write it, ten feet on the wall
Watch me fall

Babe, my mum’s my dad
Aren't you glad
You being that way too
So understanding
It was like god sent you

Okay, i've kind of went numb
Something just registered
Call me dumb
But It seems to me
Or maybe I’m slow
Have I just joined a feckin freak show.

What was she doing.
She was sort of writhing in a real **** way, just inviting me to join her.
What did you do.

Nothing stays the same
Tears for yesterday will still remain
But tomorrow will ease the pain.

Make up getting thicker now
Drink the crutch
Husband having an affair
It’s all too much
Drinks to get up
Starts to fall
Crashing down against the wall
Pulls herself up
In a daze
Looks in the mirror
In a haze
Sees a face
A slight trace
Pitiful tragic being
For the first time seeing
The ghost finally screaming
She stands up
The words would set her free
I am an alcoholic.

Throw you in the dirt
Mock you when you’re up

Running through the jungle
Living in the hell
When it’s time to ****
Disregard the smell

Now the path is clear
Sunlight clouds your eyes
Purpose follows reason
Death becomes disguise

Fear the only courage
Pain the mental spur
Drives you to insanity
Sight begins to blur

Close the door forever
Pushed into the hole
A ghost for all eternity
Lost without a soul.

The mirrored floor reveals the price
What the hell, red is my favourite colour
Yours or mine, on company time
Champagne to go

Red is my favourite colour
His blood became mine
When you shot him down
Just a name in the snow
You didn’t know
Now it’s too late
What do you say, bottle of wine
Red is my favourite colour
Do you feel naked, is it true
The Scorpion tells me it’s you
I’m in your mind, like you knew
Silk sheets sliding inside you
We pause to pursue
Red is my favourite colour
I watch as you open the door
Watch as you beckon them through
You smile, the Scorpion stings true
They died quick, not you
His blood became mine
When you shot him down
Just a name in the snow
Now you know
As the knife cuts you
Deeper and deeper
Till the blood runs through
Lets drink a toast
Before you go
Did I tell you
Red is my favourite colour.
