I'm leaning waaaay out
Over the crumbling edge
Toes teetering precariously
Perched upon the ledge

Long gaze lingering
On the nothingness below
Longing for the plunge

As I joyfully let go

Momentum surges forward
At last, here comes relief

But suddenly I stop
In suspended disbelief

Vice grip on my shoulders
Mysterious force reaches out
I'm stuck staring downward
Upon my desired route

I yearn for release
I ache to take the leap

But Insomnia won't set me free
To plummet into Sleep
Insomnia is a cruel mistress

Quiero hablar
I'll try in any language
ภาษาไทย ยาก มาก
Beyond bilingualism.
Well, I try.

Translated:
I want to speak
I'll try in any language
Thai is very hard

(The last line is pronounced "pasa Thai yak mak")

A challenge for you:
Try to speak in just haiku
In your normal speech

Give it your best shot
It's really hard, but so fun
In verse, try to preach

Maybe they'll notice
Maybe they won't have a clue
Have fun either way

Live life whimsically
Put a smile on your face
Haiku-ize your day!
Seriously, y'all!
You can spark your brain to life
With pure haiku speech

Try it out and let me know how it goes!

Got those early week blues
So please won't you grace
Me with something funny
To put a smile on my face

A feel-good story
Or a friendly life tip
Your best one-liner
Or a clever quip

I just want to laugh
I just want to grin
And against despondency
I just want a win

A cheerful heart is good medicine
Just what the Doctor prescribes
So let's help each other out
With some positive vibes

I get started

Just tell myself
First step’s the hardest
First mile’s the farthest

Just tell myself
You got this
You can’t miss

Just tell myself
One step at a time
It’ll all be fine

Just tell myself
You can make it
All the way
Gotta take it
Day by day

Just tell myself
I’m with you friend

Until
I get
To the end

I don’t have to wake up too early
I get to

I don’t have to go to work
I get to

I don’t have to deal with my neighbors
I get to

I don’t have to eat a healthy dinner
I get to

I don’t have to call my parents
I get to

I don’t have to wash the dishes
sweep the floors
feed the pets
hang the laundry
scrub the toilet
I get to

I don’t have to pack her lunch
with a smile
and a lovely note
I get to

I don’t have to do
the things I dread
or the things I love
I get to

I don’t have to keep on living

I get to!

so effing hot today

my skin melting
fat crackling
muscles sizzling
flesh evaporating
bones cracking
skeleton crumbling
burning down
to glowing embers

even my ashes echoing
lamenting the heat
Did someone turn on a giant oven outside?
Holy words tell me
If you wanna find your life
You first gotta lose it
But I need you to sell me
On how the pain gives meaning
I need you to prove it

Cause now it just hurts
I can't believe I lost him
He's gone
We checked all the right boxes
Made all the right moves
He a worthy king
But I a lowly pawn

I've lost the one I love
And just as much
I feel I've lost my life
So what words from above
Can heal the hurt
Overcome the strife?

What's left to be found?
I treasure nothing anymore
Those holy words ring hollow
Don't tell me what's in store

And yet

I remain strong
Though I so deeply long
To hold him again
For even a day
I let him go freely
And I know
It's true what they say
All will be right

So now I just pray
To endure this long night
With a hope shining bright
That tomorrow
I'll find my way

For things we lose
Have a strange way
Of coming back again
So in the end
The loss will be
Worth the pain
To jumpstart
This breakaway

you
inspire
impact me
so invigorating
you raise me high
from the deepest valley
to soaring peaks of love & life
pointing me in the right direction
all I have
all I want
all I need
vitalizing
inspiration
You point me toward the heavens
She lived in neverland
floating on a dream
that slept in a cloud
shaped like a mushroom
sitting with her legs
slightly parted
as her finger traced
over the curves
of her lips
in the shape
of a mischievous grin

he knew he shouldn't
let his curiosity stray
and just walk away
what would he find
in her name
what could he gain
by tasting her kiss
what good would come
from the pleasure
of finding the soft spots
hidden within her sins

what were the risks
if it was only a dream
living in neverland
what would be
the price of the pain
if it was only lust
and not love
woven beneath her skin

what could he do
but what he would do
as it is all just a dream
a dream of lust
dreaming of love
dreaming of a girl
living in neverland
