Escence Sep 2015
tears of the far road
scared
of what's down below
afraid
to see what I have created
the evil
in thus our souls been tainted

if only dreams existed
and people thoughtlessly drifted
In what we called sleep
where the frogs jumped not leap
where the sun is a pretty shade of blue
where mushroom's grew on faces and shoes

but where did my imagination go?
where are the unicorns and rainbows?
Now I'm entangled in a rose
outside you see a flower
that beautifully grows
inside is an abyss a dark pit
A place where my dreams
used to gallantly drift

the skies are dyed red
for a certain person
the air is filled with dread
for a certain organism

For a certain someone
the clouds are spreading
letting in sunlight
yet still raining

for a certain someone
a child is wearing black
weeping her eyes out
knowing nothing lost

can be brought back
for a certain someone
who never actually grew
for him the skies are dyed red
no longer blue

at 3:18 am the cat's are crying in hunger
at 3:18 am a child has been born
at 3:18 am somebody gained a brother
at 3:18 am somebody touched a thorn

at 3:18 am a pound was gained
at 3:18 am a child became lame
at 3:18 am someone's flushed face drained
at 3:18 am a commoner was framed

at 3:18 am a child cursed fate

I tell you it's right
but you don't understand
you're still a child my love
won't you please grab my hand?

you're mine dear one
I won't let you go
cast away all this violence
and maybe, possibly grow

Your eyes shined so bright
when I gave you that piece of candy
that contagious smile of yours
might one day come in handy

So please don't die out
You're all I have left
a child who plays with spoons
otherwise known as a mini-heart theft

I dreamed the world was a good place
and that the people were all so nice
who knew even in my dreams
my eyes were clouded

she said her heart couldn't be broken he said she never had a heart to begin with
