I don't want to be
a heartbroken Daedalus.
Let me have those wings
so I could be
the one to burn
carefree
into the sun
selfish, ignorant, oblivious.
Not grieving and delirious.
Incinerate this youth,
this dream to the root;
an instant ball of flames,
so but memory remains.

* * *

Cut my wings before I'm high
Are you my Daedalus?
We're not mature enough to fly.
I'm not your Icarus.
I'd rather be the liver
of Prometheus,
not himself who did deliver
hope to those oblivious,
misusing now his fire...

* * *

I'd rather be the liver of Prometheus
than live in this illusion of deliverance
The more you know, the more you're faced with ignorance;
and ignorance defeats you with experience

I'd rather be the wings of Icarus
and know the smell of burning feathers
than have a tomb stone like the one of Sisyphus,
no longer strong to push it from the nether
3 oldies sharing a common theme (no point in separating them)

We can't find
our paradise on clouds
My hands are together praying
between two houses on fire,
Whilst I watch the unforeseeable
Perish into ashes of wool-gather.

Razors, Scissors and chainsaws
will cut me all the same,
Yet you were the bloodiest cut
I've ever been prescribed,
Poison drips from your skin
matching the sap from weeping willows.

I composed the poem "Angel?",
And its subsequent parts,
It is a magical saga.

It is indeed so much beautiful,
And the Angel in the story,
I fell in love with her.

Rhyming or not it is bountiful,
And of all the sorts of arts,
She is an eternal saga.

Roses bloom as she is dutiful,
And me she always loves,
Should she not be real.

Magical she is so screwable,
Days dim into the nights,
I long for an "Angel?".

Much I am like Pygmalion,
Do I like those moments,
I do love the "Angel?".

If I'm wrong then correct me not,
Loneliness is a deadly disease,
I am saved by the "Angel?".

dusk
lost people

dusk
and i think
if i could turn back time now,
knowing i would fall in love with you
and then lose you,
i would still choose
to turn back time
and fall in love with you
all over again

because loving you
was worth losing you.

Eternity's cogs
geared and ratcheted
to the chain of time

We settle for the simple
ignore and refuse to witness
the obvious glory
of this world

insist on a miserly view
a pinched token

Then the night
closes in
an embolism erupts
into silence

I take a different view
hold out hope
for far horizons
settle for nothing
and struggle to drive
a hard bargain
with one who holds
all the cards

In the end
I expect beauty
a bright light
and a chilling plunge
into the grey Pacific

I hope for more
of course
a taste of watercress
a glass of wine
and an epiphany

All paid for by grace.

My hands are shaking
Because I saw you again
Where I should be safe
Well, no more sleep I guess
