Your promises come out
as pre-splintered words,
already having a tarnish.
And yet I am hopeful,
always, that I may be able
to pick them up, rub them
with my shirtsleeve just so,
and see the gleam of a true
promise. But no matter how I try,
how tenderly I handle the pieces
of your intentions, they always
crumble in my fingers,
confetti litter on the floor.

I'm a puppet
You're a puppeteer
Playing with my  soul-
Tangled in my fears
Thrown from the highest spot
The place between fantasy and reality
Love and hate
Sound of laughter interrupted by the waves in the ocean of tears
I'm a puppet
And you're a puppeteer
Playing with my soul
Covering my naked ghost with scars
Like they are the only clothes that fit me perfectly.
I'm a puppet
And your a puppeteer
Playing with my soul
Taking my ****** tears
Producing lipstick
Putting smile on my face with it.

The way you wear your favorite nirvana shirt makes me smile
I enjoy listening to you ramble in thought
There's something different in your tone
I know you are sad, but so am I
And maybe together we can find happiness
I'm not asking to be addicted to one another
I'm asking to be company
To sit and talk about the stars
To listen to Pearl Jam on repeat
To teach me video games and laugh uncontrollably at my lack of skill
I'm hoping to be the reason you smile even if it is for the shortest time period
Written for someone special
You will be sorry what you did to me. You will feel the loneliness on the Nashville Streets. When the people you think are your friend starting turning you away and they see you can't give. They see you as a taker, cheater, and womanizer too. They will walk away and even smile at you.
They will not help you do anything else but let you fall to the way side and let you pick yours self up. You will feel the same pain and heart break you see that you did to me.  You will never achieve the pipe dream you see of being a musician no one will have you see.
You will result to use the Nashville ***** for money and *** but you better have $40.00 for a ****** tablet too. Those women will want you to do the disgusting *** you call it but they will throw you out into the streets and get another who will do it.
You will have no one to turn to but a friend or two and how long will that last between you two.
Karma is payback and Karma is what you will receive because you hurt me you see.
Let's run down the list
I'm not saying everyone's gonna go through this
but I'm giving up on dating I literally said ***** this
I'd rather die alone in a coffin than get my heart stomped on again like a dogs tail when he's taking a ****

let's start with the simplicity because almost all my relationships ended bitterly
with one exception but that's beyond mention
Now on to reason two because people have always tried to modify what makes me me
I can't decide if it was always my fault I have flaws I know we all do but that doesn't give someone the right to change me you sick *****.

anyway to reason 3 because I don't really believe in me
I'm insecure as all crap and its like someone or something always manages to take the Mickey out of me
whether it's getting crushed by a crush or falling for someone in a rush
my hearts broken probably beyond repair
so forgive me if I'm love impaired
A Poet's life is a life of solitary. You are alone with your words and alone with your stories. You are  alone by choice and you have the need to write because it is a calling and a vocation for life. It is not a profession  it does not pay much but it is what you are called to do because you must  express yourself, Each piece of poetry tells a story of something that goes on in your life story.
Heart break, depression, loneliness, too, love, desperation and even the deep thought of suicide too. It tells when you break up with a boy/girl friend, and tell when you start a new life too and when it begins.
The Poet's life is one of loneliness but this is how we work and we have chosen this path for a very good reason.  No one can distraction us, because we must write we are all Poets that tell of our lives.
