There's this song that played from the start
One that reminded me of you being the one
A song I hear deep down my big heart
With a melody that said "dare if you can"

There's this bird that whistles in my head
A bird with beautiful colors and feathers
One that reminds me that ain't dead
As tomb-like darkness of loneliness gathers

There's a river I cross to country from city
A river that flows over rapids and falls
One whose beauty steals my self pity
Sending impuses of hope and courage calls

There's this road you and I walked long enough
Where I pass when sad to remember how beautiful you laugh
A sonnet a day keeps loneliness away :))

finding solace
in reuniting
with my sis
is perhaps
one of the most
amazing gifts
I have ever given
to me.
I hope she and I
will forever
and always
(you know,
til the end of time)...
just BE.
I am so glad my sister and I have found our bond once again. She rocks more than I know how to say! :D

its easy to take on someone else's persona
when your own is still so much
in darkness
I stand frozen in the darkness
as I stare into my mirror lit by moonlight...
barely able to believe - my old age is near.
See those wrinkles; see each shadow and dent.
Please, someone tell me where my years
of living went...
No pleasure do I find in platitudes
about golden years.
It is real and it is here with all its agonies
and tears.
How sad she is - old woman whose years
have passed her by.
She refuses to tint her hair - no white lies...
It is right there in the face that used to
be pretty and unlined.

Live your life before your days
are trinkets you can’t find.
Live like it  is your last day

There are so many words that struggle silently on the mind,
too scared to become sound waves so they’re strangled somewhere
between thoughts and windpipe.

I want to ask so much from you but asking too much from people
Is how you make them scatter and run an evasive pattern fastest from you
Because no favors are free.

Sweet nothings are all I want to hear from you,
Like the ones you used to whisper to me when you still felt challenged,
When you were trying to win me.

Well win me again, because I think you’re losing me somewhere.
I can’t stomach this feeling of being somewhere on your priorities list,
Wedged between the laundry and the dishes.

i saw you toss your trash
onto the sidewalk
   and i cringed
my heart beat intensified
roaring loudly in my head

bu-bump bu-bump bu-bump

my hands started to shake
and i desperately looked for something
to hold on to
   a stick
     or bat
yes, a bat would be better
so i could walk up to you
and knock that silly grin
off your face
and stuff your trash down your skinny throat

but instead...

i picked up the trash
and tossed it in the bin

*yeah, i'm a coward
eat it.
i loathe ******* that litter!
I am a kind word uttered and repeated
By the voice of Nature;
I am a star fallen from the
Blue tent upon the green carpet.
I am the daughter of the elements
With whom Winter conceived;
To whom Spring gave birth; I was
Reared in the lap of Summer and I
Slept in the bed of Autumn.

At dawn I unite with the breeze
To announce the coming of light;
At eventide I join the birds
In bidding the light farewell.

The plains are decorated with
My beautiful colors, and the air
Is scented with my fragrance.

As I embrace Slumber the eyes of
Night watch over me, and as I
Awaken I stare at the sun, which is
The only eye of the day.

I drink dew for wine, and hearken to
The voices of the birds, and dance
To the rhythmic swaying of the grass.

I am the lover's gift; I am the wedding wreath;
I am the memory of a moment of happiness;
I am the last gift of the living to the dead;
I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow.

But I look up high to see only the light,
And never look down to see my shadow.
This is wisdom which man must learn.
