he stared hard at the sky
and saw the whitest of stars...
a simple glimpse inside his mind
was all I needed to fall in love.
for the stars weren't stars at all,
just white bubbles in a sea of hope
stretching out to the sheer depths of imagination.
he boasted of the morning birds and
their sweet, sweet songs...
a creature I had come to hate,
he made me long to hear.
we've heard all our lives
how attraction is necessary in love
but I told him I loved him
before I ever saw his face.
and I do, oh, how I do.
those bright blue eyes bring feeling
back into my empty, empty soul.
he makes me unafraid
to love again, and to grow
to be the fullest essence of myself
without pause or second thought.
all these years...
I've been scared to be truly vulnerable
I have called myself nothing
unworthy
ugly
not good enough
you know what he calls me?

Isn’t physically quick or agile.

Disappears in libraries.

Has been known to dissolve into the physical pages of books.

Is good at tucking herself into the stacks and retreating to reading nooks.

Blends in at coffee shops where her voice can be drowned out by the grinding and the steaming.

Can become indistinguishable in the dark of theatres, in the quiet shuffle of art galleries, the finger-snapping of poetry readings, the hum and jostle of the Tube.

Is indistinct. Adept at hiding in plain sight.

Once, you told me you were afraid of the dark,
And that that fear was erased because of my spark.
But now, it seems I am the one who's afraid,
Just because you and her are in that parade.
Those times when you were mine:..
My heart is empty and meaningless
It's filled with darkness
My heart is waiting
Waiting for someone
Someone who will make my life anew
Someone who will not make me blue
This someone is you
You only need your heart broken once
To be able to create a lifetime of poetry

The room wore darkness and he fit right in. His voice was cold and that's how they all knew of him.  He was lost and didn't know where he was going. All he knew was life was not much to him.  People feared the way he looked even down to his grin.  Then she came along and enjoyed the way his nosed was smushed and that his voice was like smoke exhaling from within.  She was the moon that little up his dark sky,  she was the reason his stars came back to life.  She gave him a purpose and for that he was great full,  the towns people become to understand he was a good hearted man for he was so faithful.  It only takes one to relise your light just to make you understand you can outshine any darkness,  even in the deapth of the night.

A mask is something I often tried to wear,
never succeeding always ending up snared.
                   -Snared within my own insansity
I'm somewhat surprised I still grasp my humanity
it seems it's all I have left after all I've finally noticed
it doesn't even matter my ****** expression
it doesn't have to be a way to express my emotions.
If I remain neutral, who will really take that into consideration?
You wake up each morning feeling like you don't fit in
you believe no one really understands you
half of you is missing from the world
people find you weird and strange
you find them boring.
You're not alone

You don't have many friends
you never go to parties
a psychiatrist would probably lock you away
you feel lonely surrounded by billions
you feel you will die with no one in your life
You're not alone

It doesn't matter what others think
it doesn't matter if no one gets you
because my friend
you're not alone
