I wanted to use the words of alchemy to
depict every sensation you brought me
Though instead I’ve ended up birthing a terrible sensitivity and great capacity for expressing the broken pieces of what is left.
I Never Wanted To Be A Poet.
actually wanted to be a architect.
The version of me you never met
Was the best secret that I ever kept

False smiles and a witty joke
You'll never see past the positivity cloak

Why would I tell you I'm not fine
When you don't let me in your mind

Hair up and makeup done
You'll never see me in the evening sun

Meals prepped, trash stashed away
You hear only what I want to say

Even this account is best kept private
If you knew my truth, you'd never survive it
i knew that i felt love when i met my bestfriend.

i knew that i felt love when i met my first pet.

i knew that i felt love when i heard my new favourite song.

i knew that i felt love when i went to my first concert.

i knew that i felt love when i met one of my favourite artists.

i knew that i felt love when i hugged my mum.

i knew that i felt love when i sat down and ate dinner with my family.

love isn't just romantic.
it can be platonic.
and sometimes
it's even more special that way.

let yourself be loved,
and love other people
and things you enjoy.
date wrote: 8/8
love is all around. feel it. let yourself.
across my face.

I saw spring coming
in the meadow
where the wildflowers
whisper to the wind.

found freedom on a snowcapped mountain top,

smiled to the child offering violets
cradled in her tiny hands

and when she smiles to me

her joy ripples like sunlight
across the sea of love.

the curtain is lifted.

the soul becomes visible

(always in the wild places
in my heart.)

some will land on your doorstep
some will burst through your door
some will shatter your complacency
some will make you beg for mercy
some will break open your heart.
The whole city hums in suspense,
even strangers are on the fence.
They all want to meet my poems’ legend,
everybody wants to read how the story ends.
The Pacific sings in hungry anticipation,
I thirst for your sea, quench my dehydration.
The whole city waits for your return soon,
they want to witness you eclipsing my moon.
You are the sun that I’m waiting for to set,
yet the moon and tides doesn’t force and beg.
And the earth spins, so will the other planets,
but my world is frozen until you’re on my bed.
