They never fail to get the better of me
They are trained to put up walls and follow rules
Put on rings and keep their vows
Too wild for their own understanding
I can see what they need and I can see The Fear that keeps them standing still

I have The Fear too
But I force myself to see the future and to manipulate it into adventure

When I whisk away my Capricorn she willingly comes along
Only the daylight can turn her wild abandon and free spirit back into the caged bird

Still, in the night she is mine
And by the shadows flickering across her face from the poorly lit street lamps
I see her gypsy eyes begin to glow with life again
I'm on the outside
looking in, staring
through the glass with
both hands breaking through.
Nothing is what it seems,
illusions of a
rose-colored life.
They are smiling,
they are laughing,
they are the
beautiful people we've always
strived to be.
But the light that
really bathes then lacks a
pulse;
it is dark and cold like
snowless solstice nights.
What we don't realize is
that they're looking out
at us,
wishing for the skies and
abnormality that we take
for granted.
Through the glass,
a confusing, wondrous world awaits.
Full of confusion, corruption,
love turned to hate.
We try to fix what cant be mended,
break rules not ment to be bended.
The truth of it all is that its all outside,
away from the inside where you hide.
I am the night
I am cold and dark
I smother all I see and hear
you are my prey and I am a shark.

I am the moon
a bringer of trances
an absolute boulder of might
I ponder your chances.

I am the stars
seemingly small and bright
I am plentiful and always here
in the darkness we are both separate
and tight.

I am the land
solid and hard I am
I am the world
you are destroying me
your reason I demand.
