It’s rare to find
people who
genuinely
actually
truly

listen

We explode into a cloud of blood.
A meaty burst of flame and flesh.

You should offer to drive for this road trip.
I need to stare out the window and disappear.

Just for a little while.
Then we can switch.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
She told me she loved me,
But I think she loves you
Hey, so, this is my first attempt at poetry, so don't be surprised if its bad
Also, yes, I know I'm late for Valentine's Day ;)

The cold wind is here
Blowing strongly north to south
Hats pulled down tightly

My coffee was cold.
Even Mondays in May made what
the Scientists,
the Politicians,
the Polar Bears feared most
appear paradoxical.
To the Brazilian girl, it's crimson fruit,
it's the precarious nature of
Spring's rain.

Her honeysuckle,
laden with Mother's Milk
never smelled more like
home.

But to me,
it was a blissful pain,
it was a snuggled sip between
salvation and
the last word she wished she hadn't said.

She summoned sunshine,
displacing the haunted memories of a past
which refuse to recede;
she poured hot coffee.
