They made me feel too small to stand,
Too quiet for a voice to land,
They spoke in crowds, I stood alone,
But silence has a weight of stone.
They saw a mirror they couldn't face,
So they dressed it up in blame and grace.
But I have wounds they'll never earn,
And lessons they refuse to learn.
They laughed while I stayed out of sight,
But envy hides in masks of spite,
I never needed flashing lights,
To know my heart was burning bright.
They only saw what they could judge,
But I don't move for their applause,
They curse the things they can't control,
Like depth, or softness, or a soul.
So let them gawk, & twist, & turn,
Let them talk while I still burn,
I'm not the girl they tried to bend,
I'm not for them,
I never was,
And I won't pretend.
I don't tell you things
because explaining in length
things long brewing's like
standing at the floodgates of
a river as it empties

I am selfish in the fact
That I want you to talk to me
About anything
So that I might feel closer to you
Instead of wanting you
To just be

All that bad isn't good.
All that good isn't bad.
Hello God, why do people think they speak for you?

Tell us, what you think?
You control the final decisions of the world.
Even, Christ stated for He didn't come to change the laws.

Hello God, you not thanks enough.
You deserve so much more.
After all you are the soul creator of love.

I know you shake your head by the things you see.
And the way we act.
Even, in Genesis you wanted to take human creation back.

Many tossed loves out the door.
So judgmental of folks' choices to love.
Like happiness can't be between them.

Hello God, when will they see the big picture.
If I ever disappear,
Don't go looking,
I will be long gone,
Far away with the winds.

But if you wish to hear me,
Lend an ear to the early breezes,
You will hear me voice,
Calling out, softly singing.
Long away with the winged birds.
A flower behind the eye
Roots in the skin
Seeking water not spoiled by sweat and tears
The touch of my lover
The softening of thorns for her handling
The shade of branches for her slumbering
I grow gentle in her arms
Under her gaze
I grow further from the ground
Bloom and flourish and shriek for her
A flower behind the eye
Torn from it roots
Settled in a quiet place
Brushed softly behind her ear
A song is sung
A song is felt
Constantly heard,
From the chirps of birds
Birds dance
Birds sing
Emotions are felt
Through the song they sing

If you listen it’s there
If you feel it, It’s felt
But do are you really feeling it?
Do you really listen to the bird’s song?

A dance, A song
You watch as it plays along
Colors flash as pitch change
A song is just a song
While the birds sing
