the yellow viral elephant
is not the topic of these lines

I’d rather speak of precious things
we almost have forgotten
over the last few months

the sight of crystal mountain lakes
under blue summer skies

your lover’s eyes looking at you
mirroring shared desires

how refugees were lucky to escape
and build a new home elsewhere

how children with unbridled joy
learn how to use their favorite toy

the oceans undulating waves
always new shapes for our wondering eyes

how the new day reverberates
with the melodious song of birds

our world has beauty bountiful
just look at it

If you are one that can't deal with all the talk of gender and  identity in these changing times...

Consider the fact that an enormous percentage of everyone's time is devoted to how we choose to present ourselves to the world around us.  What clothes to wear... What hair style... What makeup... Who you choose as your friends.... Your religious and political preference.

These are all part of your Identity just as much as is your gender or ****** orientation

I believe examining  our selves, our prejudice, the beliefs we hold dear.... this is a healthy process. Understanding our own identity -who we are - who we are becoming. These are worthy pursuits  that we all seek throughout our lifetime.

To judge a Transgender individual because they don't fit into your world view is a bit hypocritical in light of the fact that we are all concerned about our identity and how we present ourselves to others...

If a man needs you to believe a lie,
He will often say, "trust me."

If a man needs you to believe the truth,
He will speak it.
Crash into me, brush aside your wasted time, I have a rhythm for your mind.

I’ve been ******* on a dime, I like it’s flavor, I know I am odd.

Can you ******* rythme, can you feel it’s metal zinging on your mind?

I’ve been working on this for some time, working up line by line building the ****** to engage your brain dragging you deep into my mind.

This is the depth of my existence, the ink bleeds from my arteries. Poetry is what I leave behind, my missy floods of expression.

Your left swimming in my pools of formatted creations, passion brings you to my surface.

I zing upon your mind, the taste is like metal, cool and you climb my mountains of rhymes. I’ll catch you if you fall, my rhythm catchs everything.

This rolls so easily off the tip of my tongue, like a cool breath exhaled with my rythme following behind. I plant my poetic kiss upon this page for you to consume.

Thanks for stopping by.

My grandpa
             Words he gave
To me once upon a full moon
“Son” he said
“When you go into this life”
“Remember, that love is a language “
“So find, my son, find someone”
                     “Who speaks your language “
“So you don’t have to translate your soul”
                                   Hmmm.

... And when
They promise you forever
Don't overthink it.

Forever is a second,
an hour and a day.

Forever is until it ends.

So,

Cherish every moment.
