You can't leave ice cream out or it'll melt you can try to save it by putting it in the freezer
but it's never the same or as good the second time

She was my ice cream i never stopped trying to make it taste the same it only got worse over time
i was the fool and I forced her to be too cold
I kept trying to keep her happy i just couldn't

Everyone's addicted to something
caffeine
drinking
smoking
toxicity
hate
some will let their pain consume them so no one
has to deal with their problems but they keep
growing as they try to fix everyone else's
im addicted to the rush
of what?
everything i could do and don't do
just wanted to write something

I feel happy

And
Apparently

Depressed people never
Feel happiness,

Don’t remember
The rush of joy,
And

Long for

The high
Of
Ecstasy.

It seems,
Maybe it’s invalid.
Maybe it’s just

Sadness.

Sometimes, I think,

Maybe.

It’s so much easier to like
Them
Isn’t it?

Much more convenient
For you
To walk away from me

And make up

A million

And one

Excuses
Why you need to leave.

Would it really hurt you more
Than me
To tell me in my face that

It’s so much easier to like
Them

Isn’t it?

Dark forests are filled with birds and trees
Sun shines through the clouds with ease
There might be darkness, but the light won't cease
To dominate the day.

Without the dark, there would be no light
With the day also comes the night
To be brave you must first experience fright
And remember that there is always a way.

You can't have happiness without the pain
The rainbow comes after the rain
It's never too late to switch lanes
Ask yourself - where does your heart lay?

You can't find something without it being lost
Beautiful things come at the highest cost
Before the sunny weather comes the frost
Work goes first, then play.

Trouble surrounds the eye of the storm
Somewhere it's cold, somewhere it's warm
Great occasions come in all different forms
What do your instincts say?

You might think you're alone, but you are not
We've all been through our own battles fought
Your greatest enemy and best friend are your thoughts
Know that you will be okay

The most beautiful eyes shine with the most tears
The most courageous heroes have faced the most fears
The ones who haven't given up have come very near
But they've all still managed
But you have still managed
But we have all still managed
To dominate the day.
(draft) My poem is to remind people that even when everything seems dark and hopeless, you can move on because though you might not see it at first, the light is always there.

A family is like a circle.
The connection never ends,
and even if at times it breaks,
in time it always mends.

A family is like the stars.
Somehow they're always there.
Families are those who help,
who support and always care.

A family is like a book.
The ending's never clear,
but through the pages of the book,
their love is always near.

A family is many things.
With endless words that show
who they are and what they do
and how they teach you so you know.

But don't be weary if it's broken
or if through time it's been so worn.
Families are like that -
they're split up and always torn.

But even if this happens,
your family will always be.
They help define just who you are
and will be a part of you eternally.
I went out for school shopping with my siblings and mom and i had a great day. we laughed and talked and it just felt good and i hadnt felt like such happiness like that in a while. theres a lot of stuff we go through and are going through but in the end i can always count on them and know there are brighter days ahead. :)

I saw you
How could I not
You capture the presence-
Of everything in the room
You did not see me.

You smiled at a waitress,
A stranger no less
I saw you mouth your order,
Something about a coffee.

I watched how you stirred your sugar,
Into the coffee you just ordered.
I knew you would, you always do
You still didn't notice,
I was two booths away.

You clean up in a way-
I've never seen anyone do,
Stacking the plates underneath the cup
Making it neat, but forgetting your umbrella
You'll come back for it soon, so I wait

I followed you home and learned your way
I already know how you like your meal
How you have your eggs
Or how you hum softly-
comforting yourself.

I appeared where you went
Our eyes haven't met yet
But I know you,
Yet you don't know I exist.

The interior in your house is neat
You clean nicely and well
You leave a light on,
On the porch so people know-
That you are home.

You leave the window cracked,
Ever so slightly,
It's enough for me but you do it
Like a clock stuck on repeat.

When you sleep it's so peaceful,
Your soft breathing like no harm will come
I'll try to protect you the best I can
But I can't get too close,
I like to watch from afar,
But close enough to know you.

You don't know me,
But I know you,
I'm not dangerous,
Just devoted to you,
And only you.

I love you like a wind-
That never breezed
My warmth for you is like a winter
That wouldn't get too cold

A love so kind and caring
Like a bird spreading its wings
And a dog running free
Perhaps a bee that keeps its stings

I love the sun a little more-
When you're around to watch
I love the pouring rain
Or the stars I cannot touch.

Writing my life away-
Like a play-
That won't stay-
Although it may-
Feel like that for now
I know deep down,
I'll be okay

They say to respect our elders
But they don't respect the trees hundreds of years old
Tall in the sky
Watching all of us

They say to respect our elders
Yet
They don't respect our mother earth who
Aged rather beautifully
Billions of years more than them
