Heaven O'Poetry
Àŧùl Feb 2016
Eliot York,
I want you to read this,
Quite stark,
This queer query is.
I wonder oh I wonder,
Just why it is called so,
Why is it so named?
Why is it named Hell O'Poetry,
When the Heaven O'Poetry it is?
Such a paradoxical name it has,
Contrary to its reality the name is,
We enjoy every bit on this Heaven.
Just kidding.

Two Fallen Angels
Àŧùl Jun 2013
Let me make You remember that time when we fell from grace,
We were a pair of Angels - Gabriel & Isabel in The Team of Ace,
We fell in Love with each other in January - The Month of Face.

Though we knew Love was Forbidden in our Cult - The Angels,
Still We fell in Love for We were most beautiful of - The Angels,
Uriel wanted to ****** all my power as one of The Archangels.

Dragged we're to the courtroom of God and holy Angel Father,
Though The Holy Mother tried We were still given punishment,
So we fell from Grace as they forgot I gave the prophecy of Christ.
This footnote is a disclaimer: This is entirely a work of fiction and only Google was consulted prior to posting this poem intended only for entertainment and to incite a thought about love into the readers' minds.

I
So Often
Lie Awake Too
Regretfully In My
Fat Bed Cooled By The
Cooling Comforts Of Our
Air Conditioner And Bed
With A Much Cozy Sheet
Spread Around My
Toned Strong
Limbs
As I Often Think
About Things So Varied
Mostly I Miss The Labourer
Children Whom I Did Use To
Teach For Almost Nine Months
During My Stay At The Old One.

For This New College Did Never
Feel Like Home Ever And There
Were Just So Many Selfish Folks
That I Even Lost The Count Of It.

Not Even Once Do They Smile
Not Even Once Do They Try
Not Even Do They Care
About Their Attitude
Or The Multitude
Of Their Rudeness
So Is Their Crudeness.

I was young and naughty,
Like all other kids I was.

Of the school Matador,
The minibus,
I was a commuter.

Nirmal Public School,
Was all but a
Normal Public School.

For it was a strung off
From the highway
And was my first school.

In the Matador,
The last window was
Ajar.

It was already dangling,
My friend joked,
"You can't break it."

His comment,
Me it motivated,
I sought to prove I can.

I pushed it intentionally,
And the last nuts,
They became undone.

The window went thrashing down,
And the driver-conductor duo,
Me they punished.

It was overcast that afternoon,
And they made me crouch akin to a ****,
It started raining down.

Then the math teacher came,
And she vouched for my innocence,
"It was already dangling."

The bus crew,
They argued,
"But it was still there."

I was young,
Just 7 years,
And cute too.

The bus crew,
They softened up,
And let me go.

Ma'am, do you now remember me?
You travelled by the same bus,
For you lived in the same campus.

The National Dairy Research Institute,
Its residential campus we both called home,
I miss those days when I was young.

It deserves more than 5 stars!
The story ends with two messages perfectly conveyed.
1. Don't waste your time in search of love while you are studying.
2. The current caste-based reservation system in India is flawed.

I can't disagree here.

What a magician Atul is! Such romance, poetry, love, heartbreak, action and what not!

Surely a class apart than most popular novelists!
Thanks for the compliments, dear Kalpana Arora.

Greying Greens
Àŧùl Dec 2014
Yes, I have seen a garden in my dreams...
Initially, it was completely in the greens...
But now the decay has started setting in...

Darkness engulfs the garden even in broad daylight...
Bleakness of my replies deepens as the garden erodes away...
The stench of decay and death overcomes the scent that was...

I have lived multiple lives in a go...
Have lived that of a miracle man...
Have lived that of an iron man...

She accused me that I have a negative ego...
But no, I just have a diamond heart...
And I have my own principles...

Calling whom a ****** rascal?
Me? No way you can do that.
You have your exams, go prepare for them, don't abuse me in panic.

It suggests me that even my hair should turn grey now...
I have lived more than many that life chooses to ditch sooner...
But the fear of death doesn't scare me since long...

Trust me when I say,
I am used to losing,
And I react only when I sing...

Take You To My Bed
Àŧùl Dec 2012
I really-really-really wanna take you home,
Tonight - tonight - yes, tonight.
You would feel relaxed when you spend the night,
With me in my bed - in my bed.

I really-really-really make a promise to you this evening,
Tonight be unlike any other you'd ever see.
You would feel the joy when you spread your pretty smile,
Watching me sink in my bed - in my coffin.

First I'd kiss into your mind a termination signal,
A signal which is mine.
I promise it'd be painless and clean altogether,
Death comes sooner.

The blanket over us will be our gravestone,
Tonight, yes, you try dying.
Try dying tonight in peace and love,
With me, in my bed - my escape.

I promise to take you away to a realm,
Tonight you'll enjoy dying.
Die kissing the lips of immortality,
With me in my bed - my abode.
After uploading it I saw the shape of the poem resembles a coffin! - Spooky - eh?

Come with me, dear friend, come,
I shall take you in the midst of nature,
There where the cuckoo sings aloud.

We will write a salute on the winds,
I have seen evening play with morning,
How the day plays with the evening.

For who is this, in whose name,
Oh songbird your melodious salute,
Tell us what is your secret of happiness.

The water forgets where to flow,
Sunlight touches arms of the trees,
These innocent faces & angelic names.

The shadows play with the trees,
Simply beckon us they do to come,
These jump down on the forest floor.

Come, follow me to the forest, dear,
Let's enjoy calm sounds of wilderness,
Here where the cuckoo sings carefree.

Tomorrow is unknownable, my darling,
Today is unavoidable, you profess,
Though yesterday is unforgettable, we know...

I love you today, with all my love,
I respect you daily, with all my heart,
I want you now, with all my soul...

You love me today, as you are an angel,
You respect me daily, as you learnt all of it,
You want me now, as you feel my soul...

Now, just give me some time, my love,
Never, will you find me gone, my heart,
New, new is this love daily, my soul...

Be positive, in your mind, and your actions,
Be kind, in your heart, and your beats,
Be optimistic, in your soul, and your hopes...

Take my hand now, and fly along me,
Trust me my love, and I will respect you,
Think of you I do, and only you I will marry...

Tomorrow we have to plan about a lot of stuff,
Today we will add to our experience in true love,
Though yesterday will be remembered as a great teacher...

So, I love you today for you reflect it romantically,
Shall always keep your love in my heart aesthetically,
Sweetest sugarfee memories in the production house really...

And positive be your performance rate.

Never be negative in your attitude for light,
Negative be each of your pathogenic tests,

Be cautious while socialising in this modern age of drugs and casual *** as all of those things are just like an open invitation to the horrible ***.

For tomorrow is not far away,
It's just around the next corner.

And it's too volatile that we made war,
For the next-generation will curse,
It's our duty to pass on peace and love.

And for fulfilling the promise of love,
For dispelling the fright far away,
It's just not only our world we live in.

And forgetting  all the ancestors,
For just self-focused motives,
It's going to take us just nowhere.

Friendly hands pull us out of the deadly freeze,
For planned selfish motives that will rain gold,
Being considered as the idea to save the world.

I so wish someone else could hear me too,
And so I will not be lonely in near future,
Only that much do I now wish for myself..

I've my parents right now to love me,
And none of them is immortal,
Only in my memories they will live on...

I have my parents contrary to an orphan,
And they are really the best ones for me,
Only this much I know as of the moment.

The Cold Creeps Into Me
Àŧùl Dec 2014
And it makes me sneeze,
'Cause it's no sea breeze,
So frigid it makes me freeze,
The cold gives me a crease,
It makes me yearn for cheese,
Makes me long for her please,
But I must not be a ******.

I will bake some cookies,
'Cause I have all the keys,
I will have to eat 'em alone,
'Cause now she is gone,
Yeah now she is gone,
Will I enjoy eating my cookies,
I doubt it now and I feel dumb.

Now gone with the wind,
She came like a whiff of fresh air,
Removing away all the smiles,
So distant by the miles,
Will I wait for her now?
I will wait for her till I age more,
The more I age the more mature.

Call me mad or ******,
Or maybe just a flower,
But I'll stay a lover,
All my life I stay for her,
And I won't call her back,
I don't need her back,
I have the memories.

Over the crescendo in calm,
My ears ring with blood flow,
I won't let my face droop low,
There will only be much pain,
Not will there be any gain,
I was born to lose it all,
My dreams get scattered like pearls.

Happiness dies in diminuendo,
But still failing to pour as tears,
Time is among the best teachers,
Surely among the worst cheaters,
Maybe it's a cycle most ridiculous,
As well as the one most obvious,
Sorrow is born again in my life.

If only I could write it all away,
It would have been much easy,
To prevent my head from the sway,
I feel my fingers trembling,
My joints too have started paining,
Much more to be lost is my sight,
But still would stay alive my vision.

Sometimes
Àŧùl Oct 2016
It's only sometimes that I wish something,
Well, really.

Sometimes I wish that she had never come,
Other times, I wish that I had never gone.
Sometimes I wish that my fantasies come true,
Other times, I wish that I wasn't made to rue.

Sometimes I wish that I would get who I deserve,
Other times, I wish that I don't get my heart broken.
Sometimes I wish that me a succubus may attack,
Other times, I wish that I don't get tired of my hand.

But then I get visions of past forgotten in the wee hours,
Well, really.

And it ain't really a pretty memory,
She was meaty & soft but not loving.
I know that I didn't intend to relive it,
Not with her and of that, I am definite.
I now often get such nightmares of my life before the accident.
Surely, I won't be getting it if I was not so alone emotionally.

The day I met you,
'Twas not a regular one,
Such days are so few,
It was a special day.

'Twas not a regular one,
That day was new,
Sweeter I saw none,
For I had seen you.

Such days are so few,
Happy days are so rare,
But my days are new,
Might shine my future.

It was a special day,
Truer than the God,
Now you won't say,
I had fallen for you.
A modified quadrilew attempted.

Created by C. G. V. Lewis, the Quadrilew is a form of quatrain poem with an abab rhyming scheme, repeating lines, and contains an alternating syllable structure.

In the first verse, the poet may either start with a five or six syllable line. If the choice is five then the 'sounding' syllable count is (and opposite if the count is six):

VERSE ONE,
Line 1, 5 syllables.
Line 2, 6 syllables.
Line 3, 5 syllables.
Line 4, 6 syllables.

VERSE TWO,
Line 1, (which is a REPEAT of line 2 of the FIRST verse) has 6 syllables.
Line 2 new line of 5 syllables
Line 3 new line of 6 syllables
Line 4 new line of 5 syllables.

VERSE THREE,
Line 1, (which is a REPEAT of line 3 of the first verse) has 5 syllables.
Line 2 new line of 6 syllables.
Line 3 new line of 5 syllables.
Line 4 new line of 6 syllables.

VERSE FOUR,
Line 1, (which is a REPEAT of line 4 of the first verse) has 6 syllables.
Line 2 new line of 5 syllables.
Line 3 new line of 6 syllables.
Line 4 new line of 5 syllables.

If the first line of verse one has 6 syllables then the pattern is
Verse 1, 6565,
Verse 2, 5656,
Verse 3, 6565,
Verse 4, 5656.
(The rhyme pattern still largely being abab.)

That fanfare will always be there,
So will the loud proclamations be,
But they will only remain martyrs.

That assembly will always be there,
So will the very silent salutations be,
But they won't rise up from their beds.

Those tank platoon will always be there,
So will its dominating aura-presence be,
But oil-wells shall never churn them out.

That hatted guy will always be there,
So will forever his beautiful wife be,
But they will only remain martyrs.

But they will still remain martyrs.

I Know Her Childish Self
Àŧùl Nov 2016
Her heart might shift back towards me,
Never realizing what she does herself,
She underrates her loving mother,
Aspiring to go to foreign lands,
She thinks life is easier there,
Knowing not life is harder,
And so she might change,
Changing her standpoint,
Her mind towards India,
I wait for her marriage,
If she's happy after it,
I will forget her too,
And I will marry,
Some other girl,
Proposing me,
Otherwise,
Waiting for her,
I will be.
I have girls proposing me marriage,
But I am just waiting for her to realize,
Realize the mistakes she made.

Watching at their angry faces,

Stunned we are,

But we are happy being mad,
Astonished they will be!

They will start believing in love!
And then too,
Astonished they will be!

Anxiously waiting to meet your beautiful heart,
Alone in private away from the world,
In the shade of time.

Oh dear you possess,
My mind & the thoughts running in it,
So you should know that it's all about you only...

What you say or suggest is always as true as you,
As beautiful as your delicate feelings,
In that cutest heart.

This heart is happy,
Your presence is an extreme privilege,
Promising each other safety we set sail together.

All my negatives will be washed away from you;
Your real-time sweet voice and those shiny eyes,
I do believe your touch will be very fresh indeed.
Just consulted my heart prior to composing this one.

If I Must Die Someday Then
Àŧùl Oct 2013
If I Must Die Someday Then
I'll love to breathe my last having you in my eyes,
My weak-wrinkled face would craved for your eyes,
And believe me not because I ask but because I don't tell any lies.

If I must die someday then
I'll love to hold on to your hands until the end,
My fading-dimming eyesight will seek your eyes in the end,
And believe me not because I love you but because you do too.

If I must die someday then
I'll love to collapse in your embrace at that time,
My feeble-waning breath shall halt with your tears dropping in the end,
And believe me not because I am good but because you love me, I will wait for you in heaven.
Toasting to our love today, tomorrow and forever.

I Do Not Miss Her
Àŧùl Jan 2014
She's gone to attend a wedding ceremony,
The relative's wedding takes place in Delhi,
And she just touched my city to reach there.

I won't lie but will tell the incomplete truth,
Still feeling her even though we didn't talk,
Our bond is so strong that I don't miss her.

Her thought's on my mind with each breath,
'My cute young' I inhale & 'lady love' I exhale,
I know she is missing me & I can't blame her.

I miss not getting to hear her harpish voice,
I listen to her in my mind as I've no choice,
I imagine what she looks like in that attire.

She is not scary but she just appears angelic,
She must be giving them all goosebumps,
She has the beauty just so heavenly...

She's my everything.

The maid holding my hand in loneliness,
The masseuse massaging me in tiredness,
The path-shower with candle in darkness.

She's so magically young.

The angel materialized into my life by chance,
The angel that waves her wand in my tension,
The angel smiling & making my world shine.

She's my everything,
She's so magically young,
(: My young angel smiles & my world shines so bright. :)

Perfect Love
Àŧùl Dec 2017
His mother was cheated by his father,
Then his mother spent her life in resentment,
And he was deprived of his mother's love.

But then ultimately he found his lover,
The one who gave his life a new contentment,
And she gave his life the much needed love.

He ultimately gained the love of his life,
She regained her mother's spiritual love,
And it was a win-win situation for them both.

My original Hindi song from the summer of 2008.
My ancient memory is flawless, however, my short-term memory is such a waste after the life-threatening road accident that happened on May 7, 2010...

GIRTA HOON, [Lest I fall,]
SAMBHALO MUJHE. [Take care of me (now).]
ROTA HOON, [If I cry,]
HANSADO MUJHE. [Make me laugh (now).]
(TUMHAARA HOON, [I'm yours,]
TUMHAARA HI TO HOON MAIN… [Only yours I am...]) x 2

(PAAGAL HOON... [I'm mad...]
GIRTA HOON BAAR-BAAR. [I fall again & again.]
DEEWAANA HOON... [I'm crazy...]
MACHALTA HOON BAAR-BAAR… [I get naughty again & again.]) x 2
TUMHINE TO MUJHKO SAMBHAALA HAR BAAR! [Only you have handled me every time!]
(TUMHAARA HOON, [I'm yours,]
TUMHAARA HI TO HOON MAIN… [Only yours I am...]) x 2

(YE ZINDAGI... [This life...]
BOJH THI MUJHPE YAAR… [It was a burden on me...]
TUM AAYI **... [You have come...]
NA JAANA MERE YAAR… [Now don't go (away) ever...]) x 2
JO TUM NA RAHI TO RAHUNGA KYA MAIN? [If you won't be here then how shall I survive?]
(TUMHAARA HOON, [I'm yours,]
TUMHAARA HI TO HOON MAIN… [Only yours I am...) x 2

GIRTA HOON, [Lest I fall,]
SAMBHALO MUJHE. [Take care  of me (now).]
ROTA HOON, [If I cry,]
HANSADO MUJHE. [Make me laugh (now).]
(TUMHAARA HOON, [I'm yours,]
TUMHAARA HI TO HOON MAIN… [Only yours I am...]) x 2

If You Are, If You Are Not
Àŧùl Dec 2013
If you're there with me,
I have nothing to fear,
If you are not here then,
I worry about being lonely,
And about not having anyone.

If you're there with me,
I have courage inside,
If you are not here then,
I shy away from the world,
And from all sorts of dangers.

If you're there with me,
I have reasons to smile,
If you are not here then,
I find smiling just a vanity,
And oftentimes a difficult task.

If you're here with me,
I have the best feeling,
If you are not here then,
I even find breathing a job,
And yes I find it black & dark.

So I just breathe in & out,
It's not living what I do,
I'll wait for days to pass,
I see you stealing my 'beats,
And wait for the day we meet.

"You are so cute and deserve the best!"**

But I just sensed her own strong interest.
When I proposed her after she grew up,
She felt she was not at par with the rest.

I offered to show the world differently,
I wrote many songs and epics for her,
She agreed as instincts told to do so.

I saw her grow from a child to a woman,
When she was directionless I oriented her,
She got my focus and the comfort of poetry.

I invested my time in her once upon a time,
Gave her kind sermons to make her happy,
She even felt like having found that road.

But I got careless halfway through it,
Thought she had matured enough for it,
I was wrong 'cause she was always mature!

I loved her truly even if she was a bit unruly,
But when I said there's something so lovely,
She stepped on my love's throat carelessly.

And during this time I have gotten ancient,
My eyes feel so tired of her changing colors,
That I have sought death than this lonely life.

Like Jigsaw Pieces
Àŧùl Mar 2014
You came to my life suddenly,
Your arrival was really quick,
Youth has rejuvenated in me.

We are just like jigsaw pieces,
We are two faces of lone coin,
We are the best golden lovers.

I find that this feeling is regal,
Involving loyal lovely feelings,
Insipid feel all other relations.

Open Letter

Life needs a fire of happiness inside me.

The one inside me died when people refused to even have a look at my independently published novels.

I tried to write books inspired metaphorically by my own life-threatening coma-inducing high-speed bike accident. When the Indian publishers rejected my manuscript, terming it as poorly written or full of proofing errors, I self-published my novels on the Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing Program.

So far, I have successfully achieved twice as much success than what I envisioned in my first novel. I completed my graduation despite that accident, just like Akshant did so in the novel. Then I even got the M.Tech on institutional scholarship. Afterwards, I even started a PhD course in Animal Biotechnology from the same ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute as my M.Tech on institutional scholarship, but had to quit it when COVID19 struck. I started preparing for various competitive recruitment exams.

I qualified as a Probationary Officer with the Bank of India through the IBPS PO/MT CRP-XII, but joined the State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer because that was a better option.

As I had cleared even SSC-CGLE AAuO exam, I later quit the SBI PO job when I received the call letter from my present job.

Some people have even dared to defame my novels by rating them badly on Amazon.

Now I have to accept that I can't ever expect my friends, relatives, or colleagues to read my novels. I'll just focus on my job and forget that I wasted 14 years in writing and self-publishing the 9 titles on Amazon as Kindle eBooks and hardcopies. Maybe my depression will help me passively **** myself one day.

My blood pressure is already much lower than normal. Vitamin supplements help, but temporarily.

So many artists have died due to depression. I shall not be the first one. People can go berate my novels on Amazon. My parents tell me that since I have a job now, I shouldn't focus on my creative expression.
Depressed because the society rejects me as just a lucky survivor. They don't give me an opportunity to prove myself. I feel that I'd be happier after I die. 🫥

And so I asked my future wife,
With a smile on my calm face,
When we made a new decision,
About getting a new apartment,
To which she replied innocently,
"How would it be helping us now?
If we made away with Craig's list,
Wouldn't he be at significant loss?"

I didn't reply and merely smiled,
It was a slightly pleasant surprise,
Taken by her cutely innocent reply,
I told her that what a Craigslist was,
Even she was laughing at herself now.
Just a vision.

The violet boat at the Karan Taal,
The indigo one,
The blue one,
The green one,
The yellow one,
The orange one,
The red one too,
And their pedals,
Wait for you,
And I crave for you,
I crave for you.
Karan Taal is a lake having mythological importance to the followers of the Vedic religion and is located at the northern edge of my city, Karnal in Haryana, India
Written for my lazy-lovely-little one!
