I picked a rose bud for you ,
I found it on a rose bed ,
it is not dead .
But  if you water it ,
and give it room to grow ,
it will blosom into something you don’t know .
For its buds will one day open ,
perhaps when you are curled up in bed ,
and you will think of me when I have gone ,
and all the things I said .

You have absolutely no idea how much you set my soul on fire

"Beauties are scattered in **** form on the sea beaches", Albert Camus wisphered  in a mesmerising moment. I agree with you Albert.
One day I was sipping Wine by hiding it in a coconut shell, you were lingering in my memory . I seek salvation in hiding because I am a tropical lady. For hundred years I didn't see the sun , though that was overhead ,and I was in my anthill.
I am black ant trailing among stalagmites, skyscrapers and scruples in biting bread.
One day I left my ahead ant prints which were carved  from hundreds of years ago. I derailed and came beneath the same car of your last riding.
I still look for the beaches and want to take a dip, but I cannot, you know my wings have gone along with you.

pain

How do I cope with the pain.
Everyday I drift away.
I can't cry and I wonder why.
Taking pill after pill.
All I do is lay still.
Music and yelling in the background.
Just laying there wondering when this will end.
Everything goes black and I wake up the next day with a worse pain.
All I can think is "when will this all go away"

Some days it feels like the world has twisted
Like the earth took a wrong rotation
Then it tried to fix it
but something didn't quite fit
There must be a crack somewhere
Where we all keep stumbling
One after another, day after day
Like a pile of dominoes
Welcome to the year 2020
20 dominoes that fell down
1...2...3...4...
20 things that went wrong
On an early April morning,
after the floods,
with the sun breaking the clouds.
You see many sights
while walking the dog through the wood,
to a place where a stream
meets a river.
From under the rocks
you hear the distinctive sound
of a mother calling her nine ducklings
not two days old
and just managing to swim
in the rivers calm current
to safety she cries,
to the other bank.

On the last April morning,
the weather breaks
and rain come tumbling down.
Different sights meet the eye
while walking the dog through the wood,
to a place where a stream
meets a river.
From under a rock
you hear the distinctive sound
of a mother calling her ducklings
now four weeks old.
Your heart misses a beat
as excitement floods your senses,
they swim with ease
through the now swollen river
your eyes quickly count, only five,
and sadness bathes over you
still scanning for the missing ducklings,
as they make it to the safety
of the other bank.

You curse life’s cruel rules
and ponder at this story
being played out in
so many different lives.

Stay safe!

People don't even smile,
And it hurts for a while
They say it with a command 'keep it there'
But we don't think it's fair
Sometimes we land up in a wrong place,
Because of which we can't maintain the pace
We at times take the steps,
When we don't even have a bit of pep
While some take a jolly ride,
It is written on our heads that we must stride
And we are looking forward to the day,
When our pains will go away.
This poem addresses the struggles of delivery men. I got inspired to write this poem after watching a video by Doctor Ashwin vijay in which he addressed their struggles.

As it has been told,
China has got cold
And has made the whole world sneeze
Thus making everything around me freeze
Is this too one of God's play?
Was what I heard people say
Each and every day
One or the other becomes a prey
We cannot give a hand
As it is the only way to withstand
But let us be beacons of light
At this hour where everything has gone out of sight
And the time has come
For us to sing 'we will overcome'

When there are different colors in a rainbow
You accept it with a bow,
When the same colour is on someone's face,
Why call them a different race?
Everyone's colour of blood is red
Then why discrimination is fed?
Why do you teach your children besides
That some of their friends must be cast aside?
Everyone is created by God's law
Without a flaw.
Then why should you be an outcast
Because of your caste?
We are all humans
So let's be humane
