Most of us lead normal lives
blissfully uneventful
happy with our nine to fives
for the weekends thankful

Satisfied with the things we eat
and the stuff we own
Thinking our lives are complete
before our candles blown

But myself,  I am so unique
I know there's so much more
so starting maybe from next week
I'll work from eight to four

Age not Withstanding
05/18/2022

Her tender years oblivious to lapse of time
Enraptured every sense of my being
Earth shifted, beneath my feet, agonizing,
Aye! Triple times the clock has struck midnight
Her youth
Her exuberance
Drew me back to days of ignorance
Power of reasoning momentarily dissipating

Drawn to maturity, she declared
Boys her age, do not equate
Like an empty chalice she hungered
For age and experience, as only source
I must confess it was not a matter of physicality
As any mirror shall bear witness
For maturity demands sensibility, age not withstanding
Her wit, beyond youth, where relationship must rest
Was watching a movie that generated this scribble

in death lies the seed of birth,

so as we are cradled in one form,

so shall we be cradled in another.

no reason for dismay,

no cause for anguish

Crushing Love
My hearts on display and it's not worth much....
It's broken and stitched, torn and put back, bleeding and never healing...
My heart used to be worth more love then even your Mother could give....
Now it's worth how ever much you plan on giving me...
And all because...
You made me fall in love with you when I was already broken...

if only my unreciprocated love
would cause me to throw up flowers,
you'd wake up to a garden and
see the beauty of the pain you've caused.

Rama Krsna
the nectar of love
only comes with
the poison of pain,
two for the exorbitant price of one

standing
at the chasm of life and death
destroyed by love
grief remains as life’s sole friend

the memories of love
now belong to time
and this aging body to the five elements.
