Born an only child,
To government servants,
I grew up in a nuclear family.
I felt very lonely until eight,
Because that was my age,
When I started reading.

Father bought me Champak,
Mother bought me ******,
I got interested in novels.
I remember the first novel,
It was Goosebumps #4,
"Say Cheese and Die!"

I was impressed with it,
So was I paranoid too,
Cameras scared me.
RL Stine hypnotised me,
Not just for a day or two,
Even now I think about it.

Robert robbed me,
With his words,
He stumped me.
Such simple stories,
But me they flummoxed,
Me they stunned.

I thank my parents for everything,
For introducing me to the habit of reading.

20 years ago, I wrote my final exams for grade 8,
And I was among the toppers in the school.

I still remember the socks for the winter break,
How can I forget it, my godgranny wove that out of wool.

She's still alive, my godgranny,
Godsent angel is that lady.

I have little to no memories of my biological grannies,
Both paternal and maternal passed away whilst I was young.

My godgranny now has a gummy smile,
She closes her eyes as she smiles for a mile.

90+ years of age now, she has seen many summers,
And she has also woven so many woolen socks.

Parameshwari Ðéví is her kind name,
And now she's a greatgranny.

It seems written by a known to me
But written by 'no one'
How to identify no one?

I know a family
Who use right to vote
Very religiously

Posted very far from home
Cover almost thousand Km
to cast their vote

Importance of  vote is valued by heart
They know each vote
counts a lot

They know the gravity
of single vote in large
democratic country

They celebrate like  a festival

Salute to those people
Who use the power of vote

A leafless tree
Standing in the nook of street
Straight and alone
No joy no thrill

A bird from unknown land
gathered green leaves and threads
Weaved a nest of dreams
On the hard bones

Time passed with the wings of song bird
Nest was full of trilling and chirping sounds

Soft peeping sounds
made unwavering bond
wandering around all the time

All those sounds travelled
in fine lines of tree

Touch of little feathery crowns on the browns
Shaken the dying spirit
to get alive

Nights of chilled winter
ahead
Ready to swallow soft little
chicks

Fading roots of bony tree
pull all it's energy
To **** the nectar from earth
Sent with the force of love
to all it's dying branches

Seen a miracle through the
sprouting buds of leaves
here and there

Innocent and pure vibrations roused the life
from deep sleep

To give them a safe and joyful place to live in

This was the immortal love
between the two

Wondering my vote will win?

My daughter has her own interest
She doesn't find threads to
get connected on HP

These days inclined to act and drama in youth fest
of the year

Our interest doesn't match much
She is more idealistic
I am blended with practical
aspect of life

May be due to the difference
of life spent
May be due to values inherited in soul

Its fine
She has her  own wings  and intuition
to fly in right direction

Prays to God lead her through His light and love

From dark road side of mountains
Passing through the rocks scattered with difficulty

It was eerie and scary night
Winter fog making it haunted

Silent mind and hammering
heart
Shivering more inside out

Taking fast steps to destination
A drunken man made the situation worsen

I picked a road side stick to use if needs
Somehow I reached the known house
Met a boy sitting outside
Asked
"How is this golden boy"

He smiled dimly
Picked up car keys and slipped in the valley

I entered the dark dizzy room
Filled with smoky faces wearing long black suity

They were talking in unknown language

In them a known face was seen
I made the way to reach
He disappeared like vapours

A woman with long dead locks  painted  in ashes
showed me way to a cave

Sweat was dripping
from my face
All was very fearful to bear
My heart was pounding

I awoke in one heart beat
Took a sigh of relief
Thank God
It was just a dream
