Childhood is the sun shining bright
so bright that the rays' captures everything around you
Childhood is friends distancing from one another
so apart that hand to hand is now hand to air
Childhood is being the shortest
so short that people hover above you so tall like the NYC towers
Childhood is an elevator going up and down
so high all you can do is smile, and so low that you wonder how your smile ever turned into a frown
Childhood is a sponge
so absorbent that all the tears and laughter mixed into one
But mostly childhood is a story
so alluring with the beginning, exquisite with the middle, and outstanding by the end

Sammie wells
Her sculptured body
Strong thighs
Under a canopy
of Branches
She's comes alive

With her Ballerina pose
She Reaches out
For the night sky
While she dances
In union
with the breeze

The beautiful Ballerina tree.
Don't know how many of you have seen the ballerina tree or dancing tree, as she's known by both.  So beautiful I wrote her a poem.

I can dance in the rain
And even in hurricanes;
Face the giants with a wide smile
Stay still even in earthquakes.
No matter what the world
Hurls and throws at me,
I am happy.

No, wait!
I am more than that actually,
Because happiness is just based on happenings.

I have something that defies
The laws of calamity and crying.
I have something that is stronger
Than any outside pressure. I
Have something that is
Not reliant on present circumstances,
Something that still blooms forth
Despite the most unfavorable chances.

I have
Unconditional joy
Because of my
Unconditional faith
That my God
Unconditionally loves me.

DREAMS

I am awake
yet dreaming

sleepwalking
into
the
waves

SLOW FADE

Roses slowly become
as paper

Would that their
scent was
as ink

HAPPY MEAL

The child has a collection
of Happy Meal cups

Would throwing them out
make him sad?

I imagine that they
are always
half full...

HOLD ON

He holds on
to his many delusions

Reality slips
through
his
fingers

Stomach is tying,
In an interlocking knot,
A constant reminder,
Of an eternal promise.

I am young.
Perhaps a little dumb,
But love is  dumbstrucking,
And a bit niave.

To promise a half.
Your better half.
To never deceive,
Is a heavy choice.

But here i am.
Taking the plunge.
And promising.
I'll stay stuck in love.

Heart breaks,
then heart aches.

Mending of the heart,
is a slow process.

My heart has known
many breaks and aches,
but it also loves deeply.

A wounded heart
slowly mended,
can hold all the joys and pains
of life.

My heart
smiles on the inside
and laughs
with abandon.
darkness under light
defines the contours of space
shadow deepens shine
